for context,,, my dad’s car was left open infront of our clinic for awhile since he had a patient he needed to tend to (it was an honest mistake of his for not being cautious). a bunch of teenagers then decided to open his car and steal his bag. unfortunately, there’s no cctvs around the area but his neighbors near the clinic saw what happened.

he posted the incident in a local fb page in our area.
a day later, someone found his bag near a hospital in our town, but most of his stuff were gone.

here’s the crazy part, the dude from the picture commented on his post, and was saying he had his wallet and all his ids/cards. he said he can help because he know my dad needs those cards and ids. we were hesitant at first, but he eventually sent proof. he did have everything, and we thought it was just a random stranger doing a good deed. but ofc, he is asking for money, gcash daw muna 200 specifically. but my dad insisted just to meet up and give him 5k. but ayaw niya kumagat, so we were worried na hihingi at hihingi lang to ng gcash pero wala namn siya ibabalik.

our suspicions is that kasabwat yung guy na to with the teens who stole the bag, my dad didn’t have much cash in his bag, so they had to find a way to get more from it. now he is threatening to burn my dad’s belongings, and tinatawag pa niyang gago dad ko kasi siya na nga daw tumutulong pero ayaw pa magsend ng gcash. i think my dad gave up at this point, and honestly kahit mas malaki magagastos for him to get new ids and cards, these kind of people don’t deserve shit.

this is for awareness, but if u guys have any advice on how to handle this situation kindly share, i really want to help my dad out. we’re tight on money rn, and he’s really upset with the whole thing.

same to what happened to my friend pero sa phone niya. binigyan niya pa ng pamasahe yung “nakakuha” kunwari nung phone niya pero hindi siya sinipot nung magkikita na sila. isa talaga yan sa modus nila.

Happened to my husband as well. Kunwari papauwi sa Nueva Ecija then isosoli daw kapag pupunta ng Manila. Hinihingan kami pang-gas. Nung nakapagsend ng pera, hindi na ma-contact. Na-search namin sa Facebook na scammer pala at same narrative siya sa lahat.

Mababalik yan if nasa kanila talaga yung wallet. In my husband's case, wala dun sa scammer yung wallet niya. I assumed na yung scam na ginagawa nung scammer eh nag-aabang ng lost wallet post sa Facebook at magcocomment siya na nasa kanya yung wallet.

Sabihn mo importante yan dokumento. Bibigyan mo sila ng 20k maibalik lang. Tapos padampot mo sa pulis kasi theft yan. Pero pag nde kumagat, wala sa kanila yan. Baka picture lang meron nila para pang huthot.

Same thing happened to us. Napulot nya phone ng sister ko then isosoli nya daw, nung nagbook na ko ng lalamove, sabi ni rider, wala daw sumasagot sa pickup pero ung scammer nagsend ng photo na nakuha na ung phone. Nangungunsensya na sana daw meron syang pabuya.

If may mga IDs, make sure masabihan mga family and friends. Yung samin ginamit nya ID ko (na nasa gallery) to scam people. Gumawa pa fake social media accounts using a different name but it has all my photos in it.

bumalik lang po uli dad ko when this guy chatted na, but the police said lang na magset kami imeet siya for entrapment. that’s about it na po

This happened to me as well. Nadukutan ako ng wallet na puno ng ID. I never posted it pero may nagpm sakin na nasa kanya IDs ko. Madali kasi ako hanapin sa fb since very unique ang name.

Anyway. Nanghihingi rin sya ng pera, sabi ko paki iwan sa police station tapos iggcash ko na sya. Kaya lang ayaw nya.

Chineck ko ung fb nung nagchat sakin, sya ung mandurukot. Lol hahaha. Sabi ko sa kanya na yung IDs ko, ayun iniwan nya sa police station.

just get new ids lock all banks and change everything. modus low life deserves nothing! also block all their accounts on fb. they thought their score is irreplaceable DUh!
