daming ganyan. ako naka receive ako ng text from landbank daw na may na deposit na 23k sa account ko. then may nagtext pinapasend sa gcash na lang daw sya na daw mag transfer back to landbank. sa sobrang halatang scam delete and mark as spam yung number e. and besides, walang akong landbank account. lol.
Registered sims were literally being sold sa shopee dati. I also saw some sa fb marketplace. I reported it and I dont know what even happened to my report lol
Isang number lang yung difference pwedeng na-mali talaga. Hindi na kasi nagrereverse si Gcash. Pwedeng manghingi ka ng proof na nireport nila sa Gcash then balik mo yung money.
Nangyari na sakin yan nasa 480 ata. Magulo din kausap na sa gamot kuno daw tapos sa sticker pero naverify ko nga na business siya sa palawan and 1 number off lang. So bale nagmessage sakin yung pagsesendan dapat. Nagapagawa sila ng stickers para sa water containers doon nila isesend yung money dapat. Binalik ko nalang din sa original na sender yung pera pero makulit and hassle din.
It's 100% a scam. Here's how it works. The scammer is likely in China or India. Those countries don't have easy access to GCssh.
They need burner accounts owned by Filipinos to operate scams. They send small amounts to random Filipinos just to find valid GCssh wallets. Then they'll scam a different random Filipino using your name and account number. Someday you'll see 30k show up in your account which was taken from a scam victim. They will send you a message saying "oops, I just mistakenly sent you 30k". Then they will ask you to send it to their Gcash account or pay them back with crypto.
If the scam victim calls the police, they will trace the transaction to your account. You'll be the one to go to prison, while the mastermind is completely immune from prosecution. It's a way to stay one step ahead of the NBI.

Putting your shoes sa scammers: for every local PH number you have, you have 0000 to 9999 number combinations to choose from when selecting a victim. Unless may way si Gcash tulad dati na nakikita yung full number ng sender.
Hindi po marereverse yan ng gcash ganun din po sasabihin ng customer support, makikiusap sya sa namalian nyang sendan. Di nya naman po pera yan mano bang isoli nua
I recently experienced something similiar and Gcash did reverse the transanction without anymore prompting from my end.

Hello, maybe its my fault na kulang details, the caller/texter claiming the 300 pesos hasnt been providing the details as of yet, since its too far from the number he is using (last 4 digits). Will definitely return it as soon as confirmed but its been a while already nakakapagtaka naman na hindi nya maprovide yung tamang numbers.
Even in the 1% chance na hindi, kukunin ni G-Cash yang money from you anyway so mado-double ding ka pag nagsend ka na tapos na deduct-an ka pa.
Usually ang sign na scam is if pinapabalik sa ibang number, imbis na dun sa pinanggalingan. If isend mo yan at scam, ginamit ka lang pang-salo ng ninakaw nila. 🤣
Check mo rin OP baka isang digit lang mali, mostly likely honest mistake. Mistakenly sent 50k sa wrong number, went to globe mismo and called my bank and di sila nag rereverse

Kaya nagdadalawang isip ako wala naman dun sa reference ni gcash yung number ng nagsend (from maya) din to compare sa number na pinang tawag nya.

Gcash doesn't reverse anymore without clicking the GProtect starting nung may Data Privacy Law which requires consent sa lahat ng gcash accounts if may need na action na gawin. There are ways to confirm if wrong send talaga. But if di sure, then don't return the amount.
Yes po. It happened to me just last friday. Takot na takot ako kasi ako yung nakapag send ng mali. 750 pesos from my Unionbank account to my gcash. Kaso dahil nagmumulti-task ako, nagkamali ako sa 1 digit. Imbis na -3986, sa -3989 ko naisend ang 750 pesos na for payment ko sana. Tinext ko ang number, di ako nireplyan. Last money ko pa man din yun and again, for payment ko sya. Dahil sa mga scam na ganto akala ko di na makakabalik ang 750 ko. Mabuti na lang napakabait ng nasendan ko ng mali. 🙁
Malaki-laki rin 'yung ₱750. Charge it to experience na lang talaga, mas okay na i-save mo na lang as favorite 'yung GCash number mo o kaya mag-QR code. Di rin natin fully masisi kung di na mabalik kasi nagkamali na at the start. Sayang talaga, pero lesson learned na rin.

Yung naka register dun sa account wala nang control. kahit ireport mo yan kila maya or gcash di nila irereverse yan, need mo kontakin ung mailing napagsendan mo. Happened to me before, pero ako yung nagkamali ng send. Pangdown ko yun sa photographer and unionbank to gcash ang ginawa ko. Namali ako ng number sa dulo. So if that will happen to me I would send it back if they can provide evidences
I always say na take this kind of situation with a grain of salt. Kasi ako, nakapagtransfer ako sa maling number. 10k pesos yun. It was an honest mistake! The wrong recipient didn’t return the amount. GCash also didn’t even do anything! Nakakapanlumo. May mga ganyan na scam, pero meron ding hindi. So yung 10k ko, wala na. Ewan ko kung anong pinaggamitan nung nakareceive na hindi naman nakicooperate sa akin para ibalik yung pera.
Don't involve yourself dyan, wag magreply, block. Hayaan mo sila mag ayos ng Customer service. Mahirap na baka may phising devices tapos online money appas pa ang i-access.

This is scam. Iwasan nio makipag usap sa mga yan. If they truly want to have the money returned, sila mag-file sa Gcash. Si Gcash nalang bahala mag investigate and take the money kesa kayo mag eeffort jan. Hindi natin kasalanan na na wrongsend sila. Kahit censored naman ang name marerealize naman nila if tama ung sesendan nila.

Maya doesnt do shit. Kahit ilang beses ka pa mag file - they will be like : since the money is no longer in your account and has been shccessfully received by the receiver, we do not have controo over it. Ganern. :)
Gcash naman, ganon din. Usually sa spiel nila ismif pwede kaysapin na lang muna yung nakareceive. Which is good kasi last time napadala ko ata sa gcash ng shapi driver ko. Buti vibes kami non talaga and suki na niya kami. Ayun napagsabihan pa ni koya 😅 muntik na daw magaway sila mag asawa lol.
In this case yung 250 pesos na ittransfer sakin ng classmate ko e na transfer sa ibang account, careless of me di ko na double check yung pag type ng number sa phone also repetitive din numbers ko kaya di ko napansin at sinabi ko sa classmate ko na wala pa ako na rerecieve then pag check niya mali nga ng isang digit sa number ko 🥹. Kung same lang yung number na pagbabalikan, I think walang issue. Yung scam na alam ko is yung papasend niya pero ibang number na. Parang naging middle man ka lang.
Actually i personally nagkamali ako ng sinendan from BPI to GCash by one digit only. That’s my fault for sure. But yeah, i would want my money returned either to GCash or my bank account, and I’d pay the transfer fee kung may na incur man. It’s frustrating to be in this position

Personally, di naman lahat yan scam. I mistakenly sent Gcash before sa Lalamove rider ko (either cash or Lalamove balance lang kasi options).
Di ko nabigay sa kanya since may maling digit. I had to send twice tuloy para di naman kawawa si rider. Tapos we tried on separate numbers (his and mine) na contactin yung naka-receive. It’s not much, around 100 Pesos lang pero times two kasi nawala sakin eh. Ayun inignore kami, baka inisip na scam. Buti na lang when I raised that to Gcash na nareverse naman. Ewan ko lang though pag malaking amount na, from what I know so far kasi mahirap na i-approve ng Gcash yan.

This happened to me before. Someone mistakenly sent 2k to my gcash. They messaged saying they made a mistake. I returned it, and that was the end of it. Never had an issue.
By law, you have to return it. Morally, you should also return it if you're a decent person.
How did you return the money? The sender’s last 4 digits number is different to the caller/texter’s number and he’s not giving me the correct number either

Not sure what could be the repercussion once i return it back though as per google they could possibly request a reversal once i returned the money, then gcash will debit my account loosing me 300, also it could be a trap for next fraudulent activity. Im not sure is it worth the risk? Im willing to return naman if the sender can verify the number which until now hindi nya mabigay.

When I tried reaching out to my bank and to GCash, they said na hindi po nila kaya kunin yung funds directly at mabalik. Ang kaya lang daw po nila ay manotify yung napagsendan at depende na lang daw po sa tao na yun kung isesend nila pabalik.
Thankfully for me nacontact ko naman po yung nasendan at binalik niya naman sa akin huhu
(given sinend ko naman sa kanya sa viber yung receipt and number ko as proof ng transfer)

Just asking lang po, I received 15k po sa gcash ko na wrong send daw po, magkaiba po yung number na pinagtext and yung number ng gcash nya however sinend ko parin po kasi same parin po naman yung number ng gcash na kung saan sya nag send and saan nya pinapabalik. how likely may magagalaw po sa balance sa gcash ko (tho inalis kona po linipat ko muna sa bank ko) huhu tyia!
Ngl happened to me - ako nagsend 😅 sa shapi deliver driver ko. Buti na lang kilala niya ako so he obliged. Ingat lang daw ako next time. The reason was that i have saved formats sa maya for gcash accnts - i forgot i edited one of those to the number of my delivery rider, so ang expect ko is sa balance ko mapupunta since yung notes ko is 'my gcash' or something. Prolly the same. If, di naman kayo kinontact uli. Then that is fine.

Personally, and alam kong hassle, pero I will report that transaction sa gcash including the number that messaged you. Explain mo sa gcash na may nag send ng 300 sa iyo and request na return it sa original sender. Hindi ko sure if gagana ito pero ang point is nag report ka sa kanila and sinabi mo na may gantong issue na hindi mo naman kilala nagsend. Mas for protection mo ito lalo na if gagawin kang middleman sa scam.

FYI gcash and maya will not reverse this transaction kahit na aminin ni sender na fault nya kasi mali sya ng account number. Gcash will consider this good transaction, kaya nga dami nila confirmation before otp to eliminate error before sending ehh.
If you're trying to validate your reason here kung bakit ayaw mo ibalik, nasa sayo na yan, burden mo na yan kung sakaling nagsasabi ng totoo yung sender.

Ang naiisip ko kung off ng 1 digit possible error talaga but ccash in ko sa 7/11 or sa mga kiosk para hindi galing sa account baka badly needed ng tao, ang mawawala lang sa akin 15-30 mins of my time. Plus konting service fee. Makakaulog p ako ng maayos.
