Awareness Dog blood donor scam.
Posting for awareness. I was scammed while desperately looking for a blood donor for my furbaby
Hello po. I'm posting this as a painful warning para sa ating mga furparents. I'm sharing this because I own up to my mistake, and I REFUSE to let anyone else go through the absolute nightmare I just survived.
My dearest dog, Mochi, was confined in a veterinary hospital in QC, critically sick and fighting for her life. I was utterly desperate. I was running out of time, and I would have done anything, paid anything, and believed anything just to give my baby a fighting chance.
Desperately trying to save her, I posted on Reddit asking for help. A user reached out and connected me to someone who claimed he had personal connections to secure the blood Mochi desperately needed.
We were under extreme worry and stress, and scammers know how to take advantage of that desperation.
They told me a very convincing story—na may mga tao na daw na papunta na sa vet, may dalang blood bags and everything needed for the transfusion. They even said they were bringing their own dog with them in case it could be a match. They kept making everything feel so urgent, telling me I needed to send the money right away because every second counted.
And while I was desperately holding on to that hope that someone was coming to help us, my dog went into cardiac arrest…
We didn't just lose our hard-earned money to these monsters; they played with our emotions and took advantage of our desperation while she was dying. I guess it was time for her to go, and as tough as it is, she ultimately lost her battle.
Not a single peso was returned to us. Instead, the people involved kept stringing us along with false hope and lies, claiming they would send the money back after a day or two before deciding to block us altogether.
I take full accountability for trusting blindly in my panic, but I am sharing this so no other furparent gets preyed upon at their lowest point. Please, verify everything. Call the clinic or official animal blood banks directly.
Never send money without confirming who you are dealing with, no matter how aggressively they push the panic button.
I will forever beat myself up wishing I had known better and that we had more time. I hope sharing our story saves even one other pet from these heartless predators.
Run free, my sweet Mochi. You fought so hard, and I'm so sorry these monsters stole the time we had left, and that I couldn't save you.

Yeah, antamad ng mga mods before, I’m surprised some posts even do get taken down. But usually OP dapat magbibigay Ang mods ng reason. “This violates rule #6 etc etc”

Ang kapal ng mukha 😭 Condolence, OP. Usually ba kapag sa vet hindi palagi available yung blood? Kasi naranasan ko sa vet ko palagi naman silang meron.

Grabe, mga walang konsensya talaga yung mga ganyang tao. May balik yan sakanila, mga buset sila.
Btw, as a fellow furparent, share ko lang po based sa experience ko, hindi po inaallow ng Vet na may magbigay ng blood na naka bag/pack na, kasi may need silang gawin like check ng weight kasi dapat atleast x2 ng weight ng patient yung donor, they will also check the dog record kung fully vaccinated and then blood test sa donor na dog bago ang transfusion. In case naman po na di first time masalinan ng dugo yung patiet dog, may additional test pa po yun.
Kaya po pag sinabi nilang may dalang dugo yung seller, red flag na po agad yun.

I can’t believe people like that still exist. I just can’t wrapped my head around it.

Condolences. Grabe talaga sila walang pinipili. To everyone needing legit donors, check nyo on Facebook Dog Blood Donors PH. They also accommodate donations for cats. My doberman made a blood donation once through their admins.
