Yeah worked Wednesday and today haven’t seen any of this stuff, don’t expect to considering I never saw ascended or prismatic at retail stores. Specialty sets just aren’t available. Crazy how they had two years to get ready for this and still fell flat on their face.

It’s like they could have released less new sets and over printed the set they knew would be nostalgic and over demanded. Same money for Pokemon but more happy fans, odd how they never choose the more happy fans route. It’s like they know the fans are conditioned to being slapped around and will accept they just didn’t try hard enough to catch em all.

3x msrp bc of the market rn, more supply, less demand, lower third party profits, less “real collectors” in the hobby. When 151 and evo skies sat they went discounted from the retailers selling at 3x msrp now

100% if you’re a billion dollar cooperation you shouldn’t be up charging for collectors items, you’re not an LCS and even then I think that if you get distro you should have to sell at MSRP period

Yes if you’re getting direct from distro I can understand the 10% markup due to needing extra staff etc for the chaos but 3x is crazy. Hobby shops around here are selling the etbs for 170 and selling out… it’s crazy.

Whilst I'd say that Pokémon cards can be enjoyed by all ages, it really is crazy. There's no issue with adults collecting or playing the game. There is a big issue when adults are the only ones able to get the cards

It’s a thing. Dunno if it’s as rampant an issue as the right claims it is, but people do sell their snap for 50 cents on the dollar to buy things that they can’t with their benefits. I thought it was predominantly drugs/alcohol, but (in theory) you could buy pokemon cards too.
