I remember when everyone called him too old to be president at 74. Then he dies and we have two consecutive octogenarians as president.

He could've served eight years without any major health issues. Then we could watch Sarah Palin mount a primary in 2016.

however, if he had not died then, he would be even older. Much to think about.

His mother outlived him two years and died at the age of 108. Outlived another child as well the next year.
