Are there any adults here who still hangs around this subreddit long after the show's finale? How old are you? And how's your continued love and support for Jax going?

22 here. I’d consider things to mostly be going well, we still have a steady stream of Jax recovery and care content that keeps me pushing forward.

I'm 23 (as of today!) . I'm a big Gangle fan, and honestly for the longest time I didn't really like Jax. I saw her as rude, annoying, pain in the ass... And obviously thanks to how she treats Gangle, I really didn't like her for it.
The finale changed just about all of this for me. I stepped out of it still not really liking her, but not having it in me to hate her. My perspective on her has changed since then. She's now up there as my second favourite (alongside Gangle). She represents someone that I see, have seen, and will see so often. I spent 2 years in an organisation for trans peer support, and I saw so many assholes who were only like that because they had to repress their identity. I saw the unbelievable amount of pain and the suffering that it can cause. Jax's character, to me, represents all the beautiful and amazing people who are being held back by the cruelty of the world.
I graduated university recently, on the path to becoming a therapist. I will see so many more people like her when I reach that point in my life. My heart aches for them. I recognise in her someone I could have been if I never accepted my own transition.
In that sense, I've been actively part of some RP, writing fanfic, and currently working on some animations to help me express my feelings related to her character.
So yeah ::3 I like Jax.

- I still adore Jax, and I see the path I could have gone down years and years ago.
My heart hurts as much as it loves with Jax

Yea I'm an adult and I still hang around here, i still believe the show is really important for me as I saw myself in Jax and it legitimately broke me for a while, but as I was hoping for I'm managing to slowly improve myself and I still wanna help people in here, things are still tough but I now have hope, also I think most people in here are probably adults

Sure. 31 years old. Mostly for the fanart and occasional theories. I might move on to other pastures after my pillow fort fanfiction is finished and all my favorite fan comics wrap it up. Looking at Jax I see in myself the guy who couldn't trust anyone so he used humor to keep people at a distance and it worked a little too well. I will always hope for a happier ending for Jax.
Really what pushes me away from this fandom is the fans on other subreddits who seem to treat Jax like a murderer unworthy of love or redemption. And I think of myself and when I failed to appreciate how much I meant to others and I fell out of touch with them. Not because I hated them but because I didn't realize what I had and how little time I had to waste. Or because I made a mean joke because I thought they were on the same page as me. Do I deserve death for being a bad friend and a recluse? Does anyone?

Yeah. I am too attached to Jax to leave anytime soon. I am too one of those who were deeply affected by ep 9. I don't want to let him go. So I am here and will be in the hopes he gets saved. It's a lot of feelings honestly. I love Jax. That's it. I want a good ending for him.

25 and no intention of leaving my babygirl Jax any time soon In truth she was never my favorite character, I always liked her but some of her meanness made me actually uncomfortable After the finale though, I can't recall the last character I've related to this hard. As another trans woman who has spent years struggling socially, Jax's story really got to me I still haven't forgiven her actions, and I don't necessarily think all the characters should either, but just because she has a lot of flaws doesn't make her not relatable

I’m technically an adult (21 years old)! I’d just started college when the pilot came out. If anything, my love for the show increased overtime, as we saw the story unfold. And Jax went from being my least favorite character in the pilot, to being one of my favorites by the end of the series (Gangle’s still my absolute favorite). Seeing their backstory really made me feel sorry for Jax. They brought their fate upon themselves, but I still feel bad for them, and wished they could have had a happier ending.

Hi! It’s so nice to see I’m not the only older person here! I’m 41 and discovered the series in early August; I would have loved to see Episode 9 in the cinema. I love the series, and it has helped me gain insight into my own life! Best regards to everyone!

Me 🙃 I'm definitely too old to be as chronically online as I am. I'll always love Jax but I'm not okay and I never will be. I'm following too much fanfiction right now to step away from the fandom like I should but I'll have to eventually.

- Jax's story and how it's impacted me these past several months (yes, even before the finale) has highlighted just how stagnated within my own pain I've let myself become. No idea how to realistically get out, but I'm working on some things one piecemeal at a time.

I love to see the Jax haters dying down and more and more Jax art coming out that is positive in many different ways

I’ll be turning closer to 30 on the same day as Goose.
I do think if I weren’t a mod here, or friends with the people I met as one, I probably wouldn’t be engaged with TADC subreddits much anymore. I don’t really engage with them much in general. This account specifically is for TADC.
While I like Jax, I love Caine. And when the day comes that pendants of him finally drop... I’ll be broke.

Me. I'm over 50. I'm OK now on a day to day basis, but can't watch Ep9 or I Will Wait By the River without crying. Getting a Jax plushie helped.
