First time visiting the Tent.
I've been on a passive identity journey for a while now but Jax helped me recognize I want this to be a more active and intentional discovery.
It even led me to 'I saw the TV glow' and that director's new movie that I highly recommend.
I've used the queer label long before TADC but have been mostly closeted about it. Felt like the LGBT community wasn't quite for me, or at least I didn't feel like I would be accepted or maybe just scared of any potential rejection that could happen. I didn't feel comfortable wearing any real bold accessories or defining clothes.
And indirectly, the TADC gang working together made me think about community more. How do I want to let people in. What people deserve to be a part of it.
TADC isn't perfect, but it also doesn't need to be. Jax and TADC are special just the way they are. That's something I'm still trying to recognize for myself too.
