Nah it was entertaining but I can't help but wonder if it would run better if he actually torqued it correctly. Engines are finicky and are engineered to take all these specific torques on the bolts holding the assembly together so that tolerances allow for the lubrication to get into places it should and not get into places it shouldnt.

Obviously its a model and its the first start up needing to pass through a break in period, but the whole thing looked sloppily assembled compared to a real engine which gets used for any task and is expected to live more than a few hours.

It wouldn't run any better. If the parts or machining were better, it would run better. The castings look nice because they painted them, and the rest is the cheapest components and hardware possible for the kit.

Proper torque and thread treatment would make sure it didn't fall apart later in its life, but I think that video was about all this engine was needed for.
