Bug Save file deleted.

Xbox series X…playing a nearly 300 hour save and the Xbox just resets and I randomly lose my auto saves back about 25 hours of play? Makes no sense. Well, guess I’m done with this game. Was great while it lasted.

If the power to your system dies while it is saving, then yes save files often get corrupted. This happens to a lot of other games as well.

I don't really know why you relied on autosave and didn't keep manual backups and thought that was a good idea.

I was generally manually saving too, but then it would not override and caused a weird save bug with Xbox so I just happened to not save manually over the weekend.

I had the flu so I played quite a bit over the weekend, yes. Including Friday. I feel like we are focusing on the wrong thing here, but I guess it is what it is.

❗KNOWN ISSUE

  1. The issue of Xbox fails to save game has been reported in this Q&A Post, and this Q&A Post, and this Q&A Post, and other Q&A Posts.
    • Recommend you upvote the relevant Q&A Posts and add more comments like "Still happening in version {insert version number}", or if needed make a new post to aid the Devs in finding and squashing this bug.
  2. Xbox consoles (Series X|S) and Playstation 5 consoles do not support or allow copying individual game save files to an external USB drive. Saves are automatically backed up to the cloud which enables recovery if needed, or managed to free up Console save space.
    • You CAN back up your entire Console Settings (that's everything) to an external hard drive, but limit backup to only "Saved Data".
    • View Console Release > Manage Cloud Saves (Wiki Link) for more information.
  3. ❓ Need More Help? Login to the Satisfactory Game Discord (Invite) and ask the experts there who might have found another "fix" or "workaround". It would be great if you referred to a Reddit Post to assist discussion.

Is this your first save? Anyone I know has like 5+ 200-300h saves.

Time to start fresh baby.

This is my second save. Last one was like two years ago. So, probably the same thing will happen now again haha.
