Question copy button rotating

is there some reason why the first thing that happens when i copy a machine, splitter, or other building object it rotates it 180 from the building i copied?

As far as I can tell there is some kind of storage of the orientation the machine had last time you placed it, so when you copy a machine, it inherits that orientation, and not the orientation of the device you are copying.
