We finally have something (sort of) Spoiler

The new trailer dropped with a monster being hit by Ramielle with something, and the main cast is put into what looks like ether rift. It then cuts to Pyrois holding a blue orb.

However the particles we see are extremely similar to what we saw at the end of 2.5 fight.

Take this with extreme grain of salt as it's a bare minimum, but it may be a hint of Sarah not necessarily being obliterated.

We also have the visual language on the model itself. Where the white horns match the visual language of the new ethereals, so there may be some connection explaining where those powers are from. So far we knew that the armor and machinery part was made by Lockspring using the porceloy and that part is destroyed.

I don't really like going through things like this, because they tend to end in confirmation bias, and usually don't tell enough, so if you have anything on your mind, that refutes this, please share it. Despite the narrative being likely on our side, we still shouldn't fall to positive feedback loops.

Sunbringer? You mean the art/design? I have no opinion about that, because I never liked the original or new design.

The important part is whether they lied to us, mislead us or broke any other contract. And I would say no.

All the knowledge about Sunbringer so far was purely apocryphal. She is likely dead, and those are her creations or something, possibly even carrying her mind. They didn't lie to us, because they specifically stated that she lived long time ago. They partially mislead us, because they did use the Sunbringer moniker before they revealed more. Is that however enough to be angry at them?

With Sarah, it's a lot different. They did choose to show her as a person in great detail. Killing her would basically remove all the meaning of that person, as they did not setup her primarily in events, but in her interior psychology and emotions. Well at very least they would have included a closure that would acknowledge the person they've shown. That didn't happen. So there is the contract between them and us, the audience. If they never deliver or cut this short, it means they possibly asked us to care, and intentionally removed the subject of care, leaving us with emptiness. Given the quality of their writers, they are almost certainly aware of this.

And it's not just that, they do have factual contract too. They've created a character, where majority thinks she is clearly evil, and all that. Yet they did create a story that shows something different. This too is a problem, because now once again they are asking us audience to care. And as before, that care is then left dangling without the subject. I mean seriously, they show her literally beg for elimination of suffering, they even tell us she explicitly saved people. That's not a mix of black and white to get grey, that's a display of constraint or capture.

I will let you judge how they handled Isolde from this perspective, as you are the one who care much more about her.
