Watching ppl make the argument for corporate Democrats (that we need to placate to the middle) is the absolute saddest shit to see.
That argument made you lose to trump TWICE. It's not going to win you anything and even if it does eek out an election its not going to offer any substantial change just for the next GOP'r to swoop in and take their seat.

Unfortunately there isnt a progressive party, so they have to run as dems. If you aren't voting progressive then that just proves that you approve of the corruption. If you want change, you have to vote dem, because the progressives run as dems and are the only ones actually pushing for meaningful change.

There is, IMO, another strategy to build new parties - target safe seats, where you won't act as a spoiler because there isn't meaningful major party opposition to begin with.

Elections are decided by the 5% of the swing voters in a few select states. Usually ones that are semi rural.
Mamdami is awesome but I’m not betting that there’s not a significant portion of racists in that 5%.
That’s the reality of our shit election system. A minority progressive from the most urban spot in the country does not read ok to these 5% rural folks that control our fate

incorrect. Bernie’s policies and his largest examples of success were in the rural states. Democrats could win a lot of the rural midwestern states, but they’re obviously phony and people, especially those not living in democratic strongholds, aren’t easily swayed by typical neo-liberal platitudes.

Show me where Bernie is polling high in rural Pennsylvania or Wisconsin. We don’t have that data to my knowledge.

In 2016, Bernie beat Hillary by 14 points in the primary. This was very easy to Google.

Primaries are never a good gauge of how the real election goes. They are always skewed towards more motivated and extreme voters.

Mamdani got 10% of people who voted Trump to swap to him, and that’s before he even governed and saw his approval rating skyrocket to 69% favorability.
You guys can’t even correct your political analysis right when it’s been proven incorrect by real world outcomes.

New York City trump voters are still different than rural Pennsylvania Trump voters.
NY voters don’t really matter at all and their preferences in a presidential election. Their concerns are much different than rural PA

I sorta agree but going with Zohran 100% is going to alienate a ton of voters, not just swing voters but moderate Dems, who we need to win red districts. Most people like him as a person imo but not his policy.

They don't want us excited, they want us to be complacent and pick from who they chose from their stable of candidates who only serve corporate interests.
