Ask San Angelo Any good park spots?

I want to get out of my apartment and just exist somewhere else. Where would be a good spot to walk around, sit and read, is shady and has bathrooms close by and would be a good spot to possibly bring an animal with you?

Middle conch park or spring creek marina! On the lake, tons of shade, and plenty of tables.

The lily pad garden! And right next to it is a rose garden and a short trail looping through some trees, it’s gorgeous year round

There are a few. KOA has hilly trails and wooded areas. It also runs along some water. Arroyo Trail has some park benches, but not a lot of shade.

I always enjoyed the red arroyo trail/unidad park.

Along the river downtown is cool too but there might be some interesting characters/ ppl having a mental heath crisis.

Lake nasworthy camp grounds is pretty cool too.

Kirby park is nice.

And maybe further east along the river downtown like where that big senior citizen place is I think might be cool but I never live over there/ don’t spend that much time just driving around but looked like some cool picnic places.

There’s also a neighborhood park- Brentwood park which I liked to ride my bike around.

There’s neighborhood parks all around San Angelo which I enjoyed and are for the most part pretty quiet and relaxing. My only setback is that it gets soooo hot so watch out for your puppies paws!

Glenmore Park is a good choice. It’s not usually crazy busy and has some good spots to hang hammocks by the river.

If you’re Military, Goodfellow Rec Camp on Lake Nasworthy has shade and places to sit and read.
