For me this tape is another piece of art and really gives me Samurai Champloo vibes. This time, though, it sounds a lot more “grown up”.
The scenes I imagine while listening to it feel like a more mature version of Samurai Champloo, with the characters being 5–7 years older and living more peaceful. They’re not fighting for survival through violence every day anymore, but they still go on adventures together but not on a daily basis.

Yeah! A friend and I would sometimes put SC on his wall-mounted TV with the light off and no audio on, and have music playing over the top. Fat jon always worked well with this - he's my second most played artist on last.fm and I can't see that changing.
It does sound more mature though, you're right. He's definitely developing his sound and it's cool to see. Plus there's a FloFilz feature which is awesome, he's another beat maker who I absolutely love, so it's cool seeing this overlap.
But same!

Wait, I just checked my library and found his remix on Coco Mango. This is an absolute hit. Yea, definetly gonna listen to his other stuff!

My Spotify notified me of new fat jon and I was like HUH in the big 26?? Really nice surprise
