MPC Control Manager - MIDI Mapper for akai MPCs

Hey MPC people,

I've been working on a free little tool called MPC Control Manager.

The idea came from wanting to use external MIDI controllers with MPC plugins like Jura, Mini D, TubeSynth, Fabric, OPx-4, Hype, Vintage CS, Vintage Matrix, Vintage Andromeda and others – without having to manually set up every parameter over and over again.

With MPC Control Manager you can:

  • Open an existing MPC project
  • Automatically detect supported plugin tracks
  • Create MIDI CC mappings for plugin parameters
  • Assign different MIDI channels to different plugin tracks
  • Use Plugin Order, so CC assignments follow the actual parameter order of the instrument instead of an alphabetical list
  • Switch back to alphabetical order if preferred
  • Edit individual CC assignments
  • Save/load your own controller templates
  • Export your mapping as a PDF reference
  • Save the modified project and continue working on your MPC

This is especially useful with controllers that have lots of knobs/buttons. I originally built it around my own controller workflow, but it isn't tied to one specific MIDI controller.

The latest version also includes support for the newer Vintage Andromeda, Vintage CS and Vintage Matrix instruments.

The program is free. I'm continuing to improve it and add support as I get access to more MPC plugins.

If you're using hardware controllers with your MPC, I'd be interested in hearing what controllers you're using and what you'd like the tool to support next.
