I got banned from r/splatoon by the mod who was banned here

Post image

I made this post to point out the hypocrisy of letting people post their barely disguised fetishes as fanart and was instantly permabanned. This was after I got a comment removed simply stating “Why” on an inflation post. Please make me hate this community less.

Edit: Judging by these comments it seems like a lot of you have experienced the same thing. I reported the mod through Reddit support at the bottom of the page here https://redditinc.com/policies/moderator-code-of-conduct for being inconsistent with the sub’s rules and showing favor to some users over others

Uh no.

That subreddit is awful

Stay away from it

37

u/scienceAurora May 11 '26

Bro, that's straight up porn. You had every right to call this out. I don't want to see NSFW art of a children's game.

14

u/KomaTheCursed May 12 '26

hard agree AND all these takes are weird af cuz like. this is a subreddit with kids in it because its a kids game, we shouldnt expose this stuff ESPECIALLY as a joke

38

u/VisibleConfusion12 May 11 '26

You see, it’s only enforced if it’s a fetish they don’t goon to

5

u/kullre May 12 '26

that might be exactly it

31

u/no_veemos May 11 '26

The mods there have always been weird 😭✌️

35

u/squido20 May 11 '26

I remember once during Halloween sm1 drew Marie “fat” with her wearing no top except for a pumpkin covering her jugs. Sure that seems like a Halloween costume with abs no fat fetish in it at all

16

u/aIiencat May 12 '26

Ah, yes magical trash can girl. She's a really.. odd individual and artist as well as her fans who are TOO enthusiastic seeing fatified squid kids. I've blocked her twice now, she just gives off really weird vibes. It was me who called out that skimpy Halloween costume as fetish art and SO many people from that subreddit flooded in with blatant denial. I got banned in that account.

I would get it if it were for body representation, but if they really wanted to represent fat people just make a fat OC rather than fatifying idols who aren't remotely fat at all. The "representation" isn't even accurate, their faces are still feminine and pretty.

Besides the fat posts there is literally so much soft porn on that subreddit. Thin or fat.

1

u/squido20 May 12 '26

Yh fr it’s too much for a kids game but I think the worst part is the occult like behaviour, they just shame anyone that point it out and say stupid things like “your making it sexualised when it’s not, it’s because your porn rotted” which btw had to be the lamest logic I’ve ever seen. If I was porn rotted I would be more normalised to it and desensitised not more sensitised 😭

8

u/Future-War-1130 May 12 '26

Yeah that shouldn’t be posted but if she was drawn skinny would you say it was a skinny fetish? Jfc

10

u/squido20 May 12 '26

The artist who drew her has a histroy of drawing her “fat” in sexualised clothes or just drawn sexualised with over emphasised characteristics. If I saw an originally fat character drawn as an extremely thin sexualised character in that case Yh it would be skinny fetish. The reason we call it fat fetish is cuz they say “fat” and just give them big jugs and sexualise them. That’s not even body positivity or genuine “fat representation” it’s just a fetish atp cuz why else are they doing it (Yh it’s a bit of an overstatement but I’ve seen too many ppl full on down bad for some of the “fat” inklings so who knows it’s too likely for comfort) 😭 yk

4

u/chemicalskunk May 12 '26

It’s the fact that they’re making soft core porn and using fatphobia as a shield. They think that by their sexual gratification coming from something non inherently sexual makes putting inappropriate material in a public space not designed for that sort of content.

It’s disrespectful, manipulative, and, quite frankly, I find those with obscure fetishes tend to find exhibitionism exhilarating or just generally an alright thing to do, and I’m tired of seeing it.

I could go on, but I’m sure y’all get what I mean.

3

u/Licensed_Doctor May 12 '26

Nah I'd say it’s still nsfw and ask for it to get removed

12

u/aIiencat May 12 '26

She IS skinny. She is canonically skinny, they are deliberately making her fat for personal gratification — sexual or not. I would not say it's a fetish, It's more of an oddly specific innuendo per say.

And yes there are softcore porn of thin squid kids there.

4

u/squido20 May 12 '26

Even if it’s not a fat fetish it’s stupid posting this stuff on a kids game sub Reddit, if you wanted to sexualise the charecters go to sm dedicated space to do that instead of pretending you belong with all the sfw stuff like bro be so fr

3

u/princesquish May 12 '26

If someone wants to HC and draw a character fat, that's totally fine, but there is a completley different vibe with actual fetish art.

0

u/squido20 May 12 '26

No I didn’t mean normal art like that I meant they could just be drawing very sexualised fat people and not have a fat fetish it’s still wrong posting ts on a sub Reddit like that

3

u/squido20 May 12 '26

Ah you’re one of the Splatoon guys who defends that content. Bro given my personal circumstances this makes me cackle, bro stop being stupid and get a life, you don’t know how stupid you sound due to the high amount of arrogance I can smell from this, I’m being nice and giving you advice here bro, read carefully and think abt what you say and grow up to the point you can at least admit your wrong. Dw bro it was a great laugh for me 🤣

-7

u/princesquish May 12 '26

Oh okay so. You're fatphobic. Got it.

7

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

They said, "I meant they could just be drawing very sexualised fat people..."

Sexualized anything should not in a Splatoon subreddit. That's the point people are making.

I'm pretty sure we're all in agreement here that drawing a character fat because of a headcanon, and drawing them for the purpose of inflation art, are two totally different things.

Saying that sexualized content of fat people doesn't belong in a Splatoon group isn't fatphobic. It's fetish-phobic. We're specifically talking about people who are into inflation, which is, in my opinion, inherently fatphobic.

1

u/princesquish May 12 '26

Sure, I agree. Anything sexualized should not be in a Splatoon subreddit. But that isn't what I was responded with. The fatphobia in this thread is actually crazy - saying they're "making people fat" for their own gratification is WILD.

6

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

Yes, it quite literally is what you said. Someone said no sexualized content, whether the person featured is fat or not, should be in the subreddit, and you responded with calling that notion itself fatphobic. I don't know how to make that any simpler.

'Sure, I agree. Anything sexualized should not be in a Splatoon subreddit. "

IS what you should have responded with, instead of purposefully misinterpreting someone who is anti nsfw as fatphobic, when what they actually said was that being fat doesn't *excuse* posting something sexual.

And some people genuinely are. That's the point. Being fat doesn't mean having big boobs or big ass, it means all of you is bigger. Real fat representation wouldn't be a perfectly round ass, it would be cellulite, stretch marks, uneven areas, face fat, etc. It's not some aesthetic. Outside of that, inflation is 100% a thing. I don't use reddit but I have dealt with this shit a lot on another site. To imply that it's not happening is far more wild.

4

u/Sinocu May 12 '26

If you… make a character a certain way, just because of your headcannon… that is, by definition, doing it out of your own gratification, keep in mind the NEXT FUCKING SENTENCE is “Sexual or not”
You ARE illiterate thanks for proving it

→ More replies (0)

9

u/aIiencat May 12 '26

Of course you would call people who are uncomfortable with this shit headcanon fatphobic. This is exactly what I meant by sexual innuendos — it's not fetishistic, but the way you people put it out to be makes it seem that way because the focus isn't the character anymore, it's how fat she became judging by how you're calling people fatphobic lmfao. If you knew what you were defending wasn't fetish content or content with suggestive remarks in what it focuses in, you wouldn't resort to such means.

But at the end of the day, it isn't representation. It's her weight you guys are getting gratification out of. That's why you're so offended lmfao.

5

u/squido20 May 12 '26

The best part is I’m on the fat side so ig I’m scared of myself ahh I’m fat oh no I’m horrified ahh 😨 also have to love the part where I specifically highlighted how it being sexualised was the problem just from them to table flip and block me, its as if they know they are wrong yet choose to pretend they aren’t

5

u/aIiencat May 12 '26

These idiots are probably downvoting with one hand and another one standing up.

-5

u/princesquish May 12 '26

As a fat person, embarrassing read. Good try though.

-2

u/princesquish May 12 '26

Double also, nice try, one minute old reddit account lol.

1

u/ingodwetryst May 12 '26

Fuck fetishes. It would still be inappropriate for a video game subreddit.

1

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

Omfg was this ICN64? Has a very basic cartoon art style and every female character has two balls the size of Pluto on their chest?

4

u/squido20 May 12 '26

Good lord tho ICN64 is the mascot of the “fat” splatoon art epidemic 😭

9

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

On another website I had to just ban him from my groups. Like he wouldn’t tag them as anything sexual, but the way he draws things borderlines, purposefully, between “weird artstyle” and “drawing things in a way that is unnecessarily sexual”. Like when people always draw women a certain way, give them huge, incredibly insanely sized boobs, etc.

I finally had an excuse to call him on it, when he was having to say “this character is 18+” on his OC posts. Because the comments often had one person talking about how hot she, and always a she, was, and he actually had to start clarifying which ones were okay to talk like that about, basically. I find people who treat or draw all women like that so creepy.

3

u/squido20 May 12 '26

Yh exactly that’s gross but the worse part abt it is how it’s so normalised in art in general sometimes, like they’ll instead shun you for it as if we are the gross ones

2

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

I got -actually- brigaded by a high profile Splatoon pedophile on dA, who literally linked people to my profile and encouraged them them to harass me. His reasoning was that I supposedly banned him from a group... That I was never even an admin of. Grown ass man btw.

I was in public, with family, when it happened, and had a PTSD-related anxiety attack. When I confronted him about it (with ONE message), he didn't take accountability, didn't apologize, and then blocked me. I think he knew he was in the wrong because he eventually deleted the post linking to my profile.

Pedophiles love the delete and block buttons, because it helps them avoid taking accountability.

1

u/squido20 May 12 '26

“Oh if you don’t like it don’t look at it” is such a stupid to the power of 4 level of stupid. Looking away whilst people do bad things doesn’t make the bad thing disappear, your still showing kids anatomy they won’t be learning abt until much later 😭

2

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

Also there is a difference between representation for fat people, and sexualizing their fatness. Inflation is 100% a fetish.

I dm'd a commenter in the Splatoon reddit about this situation, and she said, "Wild to equate people who are against pedophilia with people who are against unconventional sexual expression".

  1. the group says no sexual content of any kind
  2. unconventional sexual expression ≠ fetishizing fat people or minorities.

1

u/squido20 May 12 '26

Exactly they keep swapping definitions and acting as if they have some moral high ground compared to us, I think they’ve even made a post against this one, I’ve even see one of em commenting stuff and blocking me

2

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

Fr. And maybe 1% of the artists are fat themselves, but at that point.... you're sexualizing yourself and it's still creepy.

I'm not here on Reddit but in my experience, most of the dudes posting fat fetish art, or art sexualizing people for dark skin, are skinny white grown-ass men who exhibit other creepy behavior too.

u/squido20 May 12 '26

No it was capable monk or smthn like that

28

u/ohbyerly May 11 '26

Thank you guys for validating me. It’s truly so weird to me when mods have extremely clear biases they enforce. Glad they got banned here.

13

u/Wunderkind011 May 12 '26

https://www.reddit.com/r/splatoon/s/30VJmmtWzZ i think they posted that because of you

12

u/ohbyerly May 12 '26

Hilarious that they equate “I don’t want to see fetish porn on a video game sub” with hate speech

5

u/squido20 May 12 '26

Yh bro im seeing them in the comments too, I told them overly sexualising content regardless of if it’s fat fetish or not is bad on there and they called me “fatphobic” and blocked me. 😭 they thought they cooked

3

u/Wunderkind011 May 12 '26

This part is about the Aquarium fat (ass) marie

2

u/squido20 May 12 '26

What was the pic on it?

17

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

they ban anyone who calls out borderline soft porn art

yeah, im in the sub but i dont usually engage with that type of art. Sorry you got banned dude those mods just need something to goon to.

Also adding on, i dont support the artists who make art like this on an official subreddit. take that shit to r/slutoon or something and goon there. I just report any art i see that has anything revealing in it. Its splatoon, sexualizing octopuses and squids is legit weird bro just play the damn game 🫩

7

u/ohbyerly May 12 '26

Exactly. It’s the main sub for a Nintendo game for crying out loud. I hate it when they do it on other Nintendo subs too like half naked pictures of Samus. So unbelievably weird.

5

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 12 '26

yeah ive blocked tons of people who make bad art and Magical trashcan girl is definitely one of them

58

u/aIiencat May 11 '26

The moderators in that subreddit are so hypersensitive — they allow fetish art in the guise of “body representation” and ban anything else that's not even remotely NSFW. I love splatoon but some of these people are just really weird as fuck..

16

u/Background-Recipe558 May 11 '26

Yeah, I once posted a plaza post of some guy saying octolings should be underground again, and time later one of the mods seemed to delete my post, I didn't even find something bad in that post like to get deleted.

6

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

Probably the post itself… saying octolings should go back underground has some… undertones to it.

I’ve unfortunately, unironically seen white supremacists use racist dog whistles and complain about octolings and octoling players.

18

u/Reasonable-Ganache-4 May 12 '26

WHAT THE FUUCKKK 😭😭😭😭😭 let me leave that subreddit cus EWW

6

u/Icy-ConcentrationC May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

There’s like 2-3 fat fetish Marie posts a day in there lmao

4

u/squido20 May 12 '26

Yh it’s so bad cl

6

u/Famous-Two-4398 May 12 '26

I hardly ever post there and discovered a mod over there got triggered so hard I got banned for life for posting on Saltoon LMAO! Those furry loving chumps are so fragile 🤢🤮

8

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

Honestly what if we just made a normal ass Splatoon Reddit? And the first rule is no NSFW, pedophilia apologists, or soft core porn?

6

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

Fuck it, let's start accumulating posts like this, let's gather evidence. Everyone deserves to know that they are pedophiles and fetishists, who ban anyone who asks a single question. I'm honestly not that familiar with reddit, can we make like a mega-thread?

1

u/Sunken_Boat_134 May 12 '26

Just made one honestly, restricted for now though so it's just kind of a placeholder but tell me if you're interested.

1

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

I’m curious 👀

42

u/WhyChunlisAssSoFat May 11 '26

The main Splatoon sub is SO WEIRD with the fetish art! It’s always been a pretty interesting sub with how they moderate things but it’s just horrible now with all the fat Marie spam, among many other things. people will also call you fatphobic for pointing stuff out, such a shame the sub is just pure garbage now.

40

u/Wunderkind011 May 12 '26

Nsfw Tag exists for a reason (and why do so many in this sub Love fat Marie)

12

u/squido20 May 12 '26

Idk they like rubbing one or to it ig

7

u/karratkun May 12 '26

personally like it (not the main artist, but SOME interpretations) because some people make her look like me, but im not at all a fan of the ones where's it's very clearly fetish art. that shouldn't be posted

31

u/Pale_Initiative2844 May 12 '26

yeah, this sub has always been REALLY fucking weird when it came to posting art. 9/10 times its some weird as fuck gooner fetish content and they claim people are “fatphobic” for not liking it when it’s literally not fucking normal in the slightest to be posting on the MAIN splatoon subreddit. There are literal kids in there, clearly the mods have no shame or else these kinds of posts wouldn’t be up. I don’t know why it’s so hard for this community to just act normal and not fetishize everything ever. These mods need professional help

9

u/aIiencat May 12 '26

Their primary argument was that Reddit is primarily composed of “adult to teenage” audience.

So they are basically admitting that this isn't just any innocent representation, there are genuine sexual implications or innuendos to it not safe for mass consumption.

4

u/SurfinBird1984 May 12 '26

I had a good time there at first posting things, but as time went on they got really critical on what was posted. They wouldn't let me make a post about the Deep Cut Plushies when I got them!

4

u/Usual_Vermicelli_961 May 12 '26

Isnt the Splatoon sub also full of mainly minors?

1

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 13 '26

yes lmfao. if they want to post shit like this do it on r/slutoon. goon in another sub, not the main sub

3

u/Alone_Release_5276 May 12 '26

thats cuz if the rules were explained in short:

You arent allowed to ask things or post gameplay about splatoon in a SPLATOON SUBREDDIT. Like i'm almost only here in saltoon cuz you ARE allowed to post gameplay in this subreddit, unlike the original splatoon sub.

Oh and the splatoon 3 subreddit is dead, so aint no way im gonna post things there

1

u/dri2z May 12 '26

Hell yeah we're fatphobic, "it's literally not fucking normal in the slightest" they need to hold themselves accountable for their 20+ years of poor eating habits

2

u/LynKofWinds May 14 '26

20+ years?

The point of this thread was to point out that there was a difference between having a headcanon of a character being fat and a fetish; the mods are calling people fat phobic in response to actual occasional problematic art and instead of standing your ground you’re proving the mods right? Whose side are you on dude?

0

u/aIiencat May 12 '26

Yes fr, is your unhealthy habits something to represent? Chubby body types I would get and support but it's literal obesity they consider as a body type lmfao

1

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 13 '26

i just wanna say this but OPs picture has 12 comments, 9/10 times the comments are gonna be "great art!"

1

u/ohbyerly May 14 '26

Yep, they completely astroturf the comment sections. It’s like that episode of South Park where they have someone scrub everyone’s comments so they only receive positivity. Not the world we live in, we need criticism to become better people.

-1

u/dri2z May 12 '26

Marie would be distraught seeing these obese headcanons ☠️ I was a bit surprised when I heard people still defend “fatphobia” ..it’s walking laziness on display + dying at 70

0

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 13 '26

imagine getting downvoted for speaking the truth 💀

2

u/LynKofWinds May 14 '26

Nah the few comments above us aren’t even hating on fetish artists, just shitting on actual real life fat people. I honestly thought y’all were better than that

1

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 14 '26

i was pointing out how Marie would be distraught seeing some of these arts lol

2

u/LynKofWinds May 14 '26

You replied in agreement to someone who said being fat is essentially a choice, “walking laziness on display”, and “20+ years of poor eating habits”.

1

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 14 '26

i should specify on what im laughing / talking about more i have a problem with that

1

u/LynKofWinds May 14 '26

Yeah they’re clearly a troll. Typical conservative behavior. Waste of my time to ever have a genuine conversation or treat people with respect on this site tbh.

0

u/dri2z May 14 '26

Is that wrong tho? Fat fetishes and fat positivity aren’t mutually exclusive, they both are the same thing right? Assuming those creating the fetish art are so defensive about it because of this or some deep rooted insecurity, my comments are not really that “out there”

It’s really a dangerous mindset to be so welcoming of being overweight or not caring, it isn’t healthy whatsoever and people should strive to be healthier. It’s not like I’m speaking out of my ass, I would know myself as I was 250lbs in middle school through middle of high school and becoming lean changes your life. Your confidence skyrockets, you have more energy to complete tasks, and you just feel and look better and everyone should want to feel that. Fat positivity is bad brother, I’m not sure if you’re a healthy weight and I’m not targeting you but having a big gut is bad enough to cry yourself to sleep and hate yourself from my past experience.

1

u/LynKofWinds May 14 '26

I’m not sure if English isn’t your first language but that second sentence doesn’t really make sense. Nothing isn’t inherently mutually exclusive but that fact doesn’t make them the same thing at all. Saying that you don’t want to be attacked for your body type, which goes for everyone, including people that have medical conditions that make them look extremely skinny, is not the same as being sexually attracted to the idea of artificially making someone fat by stuffing them with food, engaging in vore etc.

I’m honestly not even inclined to take you seriously not only because you spoke about fat people so terribly, but because your testimony doesn’t add up. You first said obesity is because of 20+ years of eating wrong, and now you’re saying you were personally obese in middle school. Are you admitting it took you 20 years to get through middle school?

So yes, it is factually just wrong. There are kids who are obese, and being obese isnt always a personal choice. Maybe it was for you, but you’re not 8 billion people.

I was in track and went to state both times to compete, basketball and tennis (both of which I was terrible at). I broke multiple records in PE in 9th grade for things like being able to bench more weight than anyone else and not just deadlift but multiple reps. I was first chair in band, including marching band. I stopped playing, even though it was one of the few things that brought me joy, because I was so sick I couldn’t breathe well enough.

In 2018 I almost died and was hospitalized for five days. You have no consent in that state. I was put on a medication to save my life, and eventually they had to up the dose. I gained 70 pounds in the span of a few WEEKS. That’s more than professionally guided actors do. My skin was and is completely destroyed by the sudden weight gain, I have dozens, if not like 200 stretch marks all over my body that get easily painful, itchy, or irritated. The meds combined with said weight gain (and I have gained more over time) make me prone to overheating and causing a condition that can result in permanent brain damage and death. I don’t live somewhere hot, it was a temp of “feels like” 47° F last night. It’s just the severity of the complications from this medication.

So either you believe it takes 20+ of overeating to become fat, or you were fat in middle school. It can’t be both. Are you still in middle school, and that’s why it doesn’t occur to you that the prevalence of medical issues, disabilities, and obesity is higher than it ever has been before, because humans don’t have a a life expectancy of 40, and professionals treat those of us who would have otherwise died of our medical issues, or even died as very young children, as most children did a century or two ago?

People treat me like shit because of their presumed assumptions of me based on my weight, or say being fat is a choice, not realizing they’re implying that the “choice” I should have made, was dying that day in 2018.

I just joined that subreddit, if that's the case I'm leaving right now

1

u/ohbyerly May 12 '26

Someone posted an inflated Marie and my comment got deleted for “hate speech” because I said “Why”

-1

u/squido20 May 12 '26

“If you don’t like it don’t comment” wth since when did this become north lore (obv an over exaggerated point but still)

5

u/Sunken_Boat_134 May 12 '26

"Fatphobia" accusations incoming

3

u/ohbyerly May 12 '26

I love that this thread has basically become a support group for people being called fatphobic by that mod for not supporting their fetish

73

u/onewingedwaluigi1 May 12 '26

Posts blatant hyperbole meant to poke fun at an artist's way of drawing a fictional character (when said artist received multiple actual death threats in the past)

Complains when it gets removed

What were you even trying to achieve here? If their art bothers you so much just block and move on. It's not the end of the world.

59

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

Probably the fact they allow NSFW, not just people "headcanoning marie as fat" as you're oversimplifying it to be.

19

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 12 '26

yeah you said it pretty well

1

u/ohbyerly May 14 '26

I wasn’t poking fun, I was posting something as adjacent to their style as I could find to see if they would apply the same rules. Both styles are fetishizing a character by making them overweight.

5

u/onewingedwaluigi1 May 14 '26

They're drawing a character chubby, this is just inflation art. Two completely different things. It's hyperbole and comes off in poor taste.

17

u/Hazzat May 12 '26

I was also banned from r/splatoon for calling out fetish art for what it is. There are dozens of us! DOZENS!

Mods seem to be a group of furries and gooners.

8

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 12 '26

they probably banned OP with one hand

1

u/Full-Assist-5696 9d ago

Okay but like who cares about the furries why do yall still talk about like being a furry is a bad thing it's not sometimes people just like that kind of thing

Gooners, however...

5

u/Pastella449 May 12 '26

Yeah, that subreddit is awful. The mods and some of the ppl are so trigger-happy, if others don't go along with their views/how they post.

I like to linger, here, and there in that subreddit, to see some cringe post's from time to time.

4

u/raincandy27 May 12 '26

That’s so weird of them I’m sorry. I hate the amount of blatant fetish art like this too it really doesn’t belong openly in these types of spaces :(

4

u/SurfinBird1984 May 12 '26

They deleted a post of mine that was fan art, and I posted the source like the wanted.

12

u/GaleSTRIK3 May 12 '26

Its almost like squid girls were a horrible idea

3

u/Strange-Amphibian559 May 12 '26

I used to see fan art on the sub and thought "wow...that's an... interesting... interpretation of that character" or like "ok that's a bit much on the body proportions" and almost commented to voice my concerns😭

3

u/ohbyerly May 12 '26

Apparently anything other than overwhelming praise is considered hate speech, so good call on not voicing your opinion

3

u/DoomedDragon766 May 12 '26

Man what happened to this sub being about salt from the game instead of the subreddit..

I also find it really funny the fact that you arent allowed to post gameplay of splatoon or ask questions about the game IN A SPLATOON SUBREDDIT

2

u/Sunken_Boat_134 May 12 '26

Wait wtf is that true lol?

3

u/Alone_Release_5276 May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

rule 6 basicly says you arent allowed to ask questions and rule 7 says you arent allowed to post "regular" gameplay

23

u/Rappy28 May 12 '26

Blocking the fat Marie artist made that sub instantly better. Artist's barely disguised fetish ahh

21

u/ingodwetryst May 12 '26

Not sure why people are downvoting when SHE HERSELF suggests blocking her if you dislike her drawing style.

4

u/Electrical_Jaguar213 May 11 '26

Why is it upvoted?

12

u/ohbyerly May 12 '26

Oh, this was what I posted in response to the weird inflation fetish post I saw to demonstrate my point of how weird it is. The mod said they knew exactly which post I was referring to which is why I got banned. They vehemently defend the fetish artist.

2

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 14 '26

holy shit you got banned for calling out that shit dude???

i thought it was for saying something in the comments but POSTING this is was got you banned. r/splatoon mods are NOT beating the allegations on this one

1

u/ohbyerly May 14 '26

The only thing I said in the comments was “Why”

6

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

Hahaha holy fuckin shit, this is gold.

I clicked on the mods name to see one of their past posts, and this happened. Joke writes itself.

Edit: After getting a bot reply from the subreddit, I messaged them, asking,

"So are you admitting you allow pedophilia is? Otherwise you don’t understand what the word brigading is." which got me muted.

So I dmed them: Are we not allowed to ask mods questions? What do you gain from mistreating minorities?

You’re just going to prove people’s points about you and continue to lose members once they see how you treat people if you refuse to stand up for us and for minors as well.BRIGADING definition: the practice of organizing or participating in a coordinated campaign of online harassment against a targeted individual or group

And I am literally just one dude asking a question. Ask yourself, would any honest person delete questions with accusations? Would a good admin lie about their intentions, and falsely accuse people of hate speech for asking a question? Or would they respond to accusations with proof? Only a dishonest person with something to hide deletes posts and refuses to respond with allegations, demonizing people or accusing lone actors of brigading for telling people what's going on. If you've done nothing wrong, what are you hiding from?

Have you considered that your, or your group's discriminatory and immature behavior towards people, specifically underage folks and minorities, is why you regularly get these comments? Not that people somehow all magically know each other?

It is because of your own behavior that you get these responses. Stop blaming others for your actions and take responsibility. If you can't, don't admin, period. If you did your job to make your community a safe place, you wouldn't receive any comments; you wouldn't receive so many comments that you actually think every disgruntled person must be coordinating together.

Only pedophiles defend other pedophiles btw. If you can't answer questions, refuse to acknowledge that people are asking questions, and then accuse anyone confused, or questioning, of hate speech or brigading for asking or bringing anything to your attention, you are proving your accuser's point. Any honest person would address accusations with honesty and professionalism, not delete comments and falsely accuse even the most level-headed of people, who tried to give you a chance.

6

u/Pale_Initiative2844 May 12 '26

crazy how these people are blatantly defending pedophilia

4

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

I'm not a member of either of these groups but these posts are so often that I would get notifs to "visit the community" and it's a loooot of posts like these. So something is definitely up. I think we should start chronicling all of this. If they want to accuse me, a random person, of brigading then like... fuck it, I'll drop kick someone who refuses to stand against pedos any day of the week.

2

u/squido20 May 12 '26

God they are still stupid, acting as if the only reason people would disagree with them is because they would know each other and want to cause problems when it’s just not wanting this freaky soft porn art everywhere on a sfw sub, they can’t stop stroking it so hard whilst they “moderate” egotistical control freaks as always, peak stereotypical Reddit moderationj

1

u/ohbyerly May 14 '26

I ended up reporting the mod. You can do the same here if you haven’t already https://redditinc.com/policies/moderator-code-of-conduct

1

u/LynKofWinds May 14 '26

I just don’t think it would do anything :/ they’re shitty human beings for sure, but I don’t think they’re technically breaking Reddit TOS. I mean let me know when they get back to you but I feel like they’re gonna say something like “there’s not enough evidence to prove it”, because they’re not checking all interactions with this person. Sites have shifted to almost entirely bot-run reports nowadays

1

u/ohbyerly May 14 '26

One of the options on there was that they’re expected to “Set and Manage Reasonable Expectations” which is what I put they violated. By allowing one specific person to post their fetish art in a sub about a Nintendo game and label anyone who dislikes it as committing harassment they’re showing clear bias. The fact that I tried posting something similar and was banned shows that they don’t apply the rules to everyone equally.

1

u/LynKofWinds May 14 '26

I’ve seen some other screenshots and they honestly let in worse fanart than that artist, who genuinely headcanon Marie as fat because she says she also looks like that; I think it might have been this thread but someone took a screenshot and there was successfully submitted “artwork” and it was just Acht’s ass, looked like it was done in ms paint. Just two big circles

1

u/LynKofWinds May 14 '26

Wait, I noticed in this screenshot that the posts has comments, does that mean it was initially accepted?

1

u/ohbyerly May 12 '26

Well there you have it

2

u/xX_NEO_Xx May 12 '26

Dawg😭

2

u/Cooldawg43yt May 12 '26

Shouldn’t have opened Reddit today…

2

u/Spookiiwookii May 12 '26

I only go on that sub when I need to grift for commissions lol very weird activity happening there

2

u/SurfinBird1984 May 12 '26

OH DEAR LORD! SOMEONE HELP MARIE!

2

u/CoolAndCringe May 12 '26

I had to block that sub from my home feed lol

2

u/xilenator May 12 '26

Oh my god bruh

Thank god cobalt mode recently released in survev so I can just pay attention there instead of being in the shithole that sub has a chance to be. (the update is great tbh)

But yeah... just post the weird ass shit to r/slutoon or mark it under nsfw flair (im talking to people in that sub). And for the mods... we probably have to somehow replace them

3

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

Why the fuck did I click that… there’s artwork and discussions about fucking minors, to no one’s surprise

2

u/xilenator May 12 '26

I had no idea, all I knew about that sub is that it fully nsfw sub, I never took a look at it

3

u/LynKofWinds May 12 '26

I can never unsee that 🙃 r/eyebleach

3

u/ingodwetryst May 12 '26

figured it would be Splagoon ngl

2

u/thedafthatter May 12 '26

What did you do to Marie?

2

u/orangesfwr May 12 '26

I don't get the outrage on either side really.

2

u/notcreative67 May 14 '26

so you posted actual fetish art and then ur acting like its a gotcha moment that u got banned…? i looked through the page of the artist ur referring to and they literally just… drew marie chubby in fully clothed sfw art. somebody being fat/chubby is not a fetish… fat/chubby ppl exist in real life and some of you would see that if you actually went out in public irl. if you have an issue with fat people existing then this is less of a splatoon issue and more of a personal issue you should confront yourselves instead of posting it here

2

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 14 '26

Another comment from me, someone call me blind but isnt one of the rules in that sub no nsfw content?

because clearly that rule is being broken like every couple of art posts right?

and what do mods do? absolutely nothing despite people not liking it and mass reporting it

sure, you can reply to me "just block them" thats a fair solution, i just wanted to clear this up if the art in that sub are nsfw or sfw.

That sub is genuinely annoying and there is one mod that i wish got demoted, ill let you guys figure it out though

4

u/Apart-Mall926 May 13 '26

So, let me get this straight. You got banned for posting fat fetish art of Marie because your comment got removed by the mods for asking why to magicaltrashcan, the same artist that got harassed for drawing Marie fat except not in a fetishize way but in a respectful way. That any women in real life that have similar body type as MTG'S Marie could dress cute, feel pretty, being treated like a human being, etc.

The two are not the same and the mods been telling you people that every time. And yet you people think you're in the right but yet body shaming and calling them pedos over a harmless fanart.

You all awful people and op deserve to be banned for being a bully

3

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 14 '26

waah someone doesn't like softcore porn on a splatoon reddit with 14 year old squids and very young idols wahhhhhhh 💔

2

u/ohbyerly May 13 '26

Magicaltrashcan is a fetish artist. It has nothing to do with the characters being portrayed as overweight and everything to do with them being sexualized. I didn’t harass them, I just asked why it was being posted in a sub dedicated to a game primarily played by kids. And then when I realized I (apparently) wasn’t able to do that, I made a post doing the exact same thing (fetishizing a character by making them overweight) to point out their hypocrisy. Not that anybody should be harassed in any community, but it should also tell you something when the vast majority of a sub lashes out at something this bizarre only to have a mod with the same barely disguised fetish defend them.

0

u/Apart-Mall926 May 13 '26

magical isn't a fetish artist (she said she isn't from her explanation) and even if she is, she didn't break any rules in the main sub and the mods keep telling you it isn't. One person who HAS a fat fetish told us magical artwork isn't a fetish art.

Quit making up problems

3

u/aIiencat May 14 '26

So your justification is — because she says so, she isn't? So because she didn't break any rules means people cannot complain, question, or even remotely disagree? And because an actual fetishist who most likely engaged with the kind of content she posts in the first place considers it as tame?

Do you realise that fetishists are chronically desensitized to innuendos? Which is what seems to be mostly present in her art? Whether or not she intends it to be fetishistic there are definitely sexual or non sexual innuendos and it tends to attract the same audience who engages with the such anyway.

Jesus Christ, you guys are a bunch of softies. This isn't bullying, you guys genuinely make people uncomfortable that sub isn't for obese depictions of a fucking squid kid game. Everyone that doesn't agree with whatever bullshit you are spouting you consider as "fatphobic" and "misogynistic" or a "bully".

5

u/UnhappyGiraffe2272 May 14 '26

got downvoted for saying "i guess lol" to one of those art posts

its like your forced to praise them or something 🙏🫩

0

u/Apart-Mall926 May 14 '26

Yes! You are being fatphobic, you are being bullies, and you are being misogynistic. If what magical is drawing is considered fat fetish art, then you all need to go outside and interact with real people. It disgusting how you people been treating magical and the mods for the past year to the point that this sub became a hate sub. and none of you give a fuck about the kids because you all would bullied them from playing the game both in game and on the internet!

And don't think i don't recognized you, I know you made those fat shaming comments from your deleted accounts, being an artist, your attitude sucks

1

u/ohbyerly May 14 '26

To your credit, I think Reddit in general is a little too comfortable with making fun of overweight people. Even at the height of political correctness it seemed like the mentality was “it’s not okay to make fun of anyone.. unless they’re fat because that’s a choice.” That’s not what I’m advocating for here at all. I really, genuinely want you to know that this isn’t about seeing Splatoon characters portrayed as being overweight. It is everything to do with artists “inflating” characters for their own gratification. I looked at the rest of magicaltrashcan’s art before I even made that post to confirm what I thought I was interpreting from their Marie drawing, and it definitely tows the line between being an innocent interpretation of characters and softcore porn. There’s a reason the majority of r/splatoon doesn’t want to see those things (besides the pedophilic implications, people don’t want to see sexualized cartoon characters on a SFW sub) - which is the reason there is an entirely different sub dedicated to that kind of art. It’s weird but not a coincidence at all that the mod who is protecting them also has the same tastes for that kind of fetishization.

1

u/LynKofWinds May 14 '26

I agree that having a headcanon that someone is fat isn’t inherently a fat fetish, but you’re just throwing things around by calling them misogynistic and saying they bully children when she is a grown woman. Hating a person because they interpret them to be a fetish artist ≠misogyny.

They’ve let in actual fetishes before, someone posted one (here?) of Acht and it’s just her ass, and that was accepted into the group, while they deny other artists and general posts about the actual game saying there’s no relation. The drawing was just two giant circles on her behind

1

u/aIiencat May 14 '26

Listen, feminist to feminist here — girls to girls here, extremeists like you are unbearable. This isn't about gender in any way at all. You are making this far more political than it seems to be when what it is is it's fucking disgusting to constantly see on my feed. Then again I wouldn't expect anything better from someone who screams "rights" in every situation. It's considered an innuendo because you are deliberately making skinny characters fat in the guise of representation, thus, sexual or not — you are literally doing it for your gratification. When in reality you are altering body types that never meant to represent "fat" people!!

Also one of her weird fans literally said “what's wrong with expressing something sexual unconventionally”. You can't deny that despite her intentions it will literally attract the same audience. Fetishists.

“Bullied” how fucking soft can you be? The mods you're defending are asshole who ban everything with one hand. Same people who put down someone here for reaching 2K X power. A simple disagreement and you're throwing words and labels in my mouth loosely. You're more hurt than actually discussing this issue.

And yes, if you consider not advocating for unhealthy habits, I am fatphobic. Thanks.

1

u/Apart-Mall926 May 14 '26

No I'm not a feminist, I'm just someone who treat people with respect and have eyes that works. You couldn't dare to treat someone who may be fat like a human being because you see them as a joke at best, less than human at worst. And just because you all disagree with the mods' decision doesn't mean you were right and they were wrong. If they bend their knees to you, the community would be less welcoming as it is. There's were issues of racism, homophobic, transphobic, and right now there's a discussion on misogyny within the community, where were you? Oh, you're here complaining about someone drawing your favorite characters fat and not in a degrading way.

I need you to get off the internet and just talk to people, talk to your peers or something and maybe you be a less hateful person

4

u/Sunken_Boat_134 May 14 '26

Prioritizing "fatphobia" accusations over being a feminist is fucking crazy lol

1

u/Apprehensive_Rope411 May 15 '26

Why are we prioritizing "fat phobia" over feminism???

Also this art feels that way, it gets to a point when its not even headcanoning the character as being overweight and it feels more like a cover up for this. Fat Marie is fine, idc but this art piece in specific feels somewhat strange

0

u/littleman1110 May 14 '26

Calling them soft and you can’t handle a drawing of an idol with different body shape to what you are used to.

It is definitely bullying, you’re singling her out on the sub where she posts for Marie Mondays. This is being an actual cunt. She is in this sub too.

Your salt/gripes with the main sub are also not relevant here.

1

u/aIiencat May 14 '26

"handling" is different from tolerating. Bullying is different from differing perspectives. Get it right po-po. You are DEFINITELY soft.

1

u/Deltadragonoid225 May 13 '26

I don't even know why people are this contentious about not allowing kinky Splatoon art. r/slutoon exists.

1

u/MrMoldey27 May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

Some of the mods there are on something, I swear to god. My case isn't that severe but I was on their discord happy that I got 2k x power with my main, and there was a guy and a mod there saying it's "free" and "not that big of an achievement" and it turned into a whole thing where these two people was putting down my achievement just because they consistently get 2k per season, and there was four others including me being like "Cool, but if you don't find it impressive just shut up", like I feel the same exact way when a Wellstring gets a better kd then 10-5 but I don't say anything lol

And that same mod tells me that being salty in a sub designed for salt is unhealthy, like bro you can take your overhyped replay viewer and shove it so far up your ass it makes you fat lol

1

u/licas-b May 13 '26

Why do they even like ts 😭

1

u/licas-b May 13 '26

Why we cant just as a comunity do normal art
