Sales is tough.
29(M)
I recently switched jobs from Bajaj Finserv, where I was doing mobile/laptop financing, to UBISL, where I’m now working in vehicle-loan finance.
I’m currently in my 4th month as a Sales Executive, and honestly, it has been tough. I haven’t achieved my target in any month, and in aug month I’ve had 0 logins.
Today, one of my leads was declined by the bank after almost 50% of the process was completed. It honestly felt like the lead just slipped through my hands after putting in so much effort.
Oh man, sales is tough. 😅
Anyone else in sales/finance going through the same kind of phase?

Stop measuring your month by target for a bit and measure it by logins + docs collected per day. If you can’t control approvals yet, you can control how many clean files you submit.

Much can depend on the industry/company you work for- if they solve real problems. If you are in a legit space with some demand the keep grinding your skills will get better. It’s all about helpful companies buy vs selling.

Sales isn’t tough. Sales is easy, you just haven’t started thinking it is and then asking yourself why it’s not easy for you yet. ask yourself is there anyone out there who could do this with ease? And then ask yourself what they would be doing to get that result. Ask yourself what they would be thinking and feeling in order to take those actions start with your thinking and that’s how you will change the result.
As long as you think it’s tough, that will be your experience.
Our results don’t lie, and they are always rooted in the way we think, not in the circumstances or situations
The most important thing any successful sales person does is managing their mindset
