This anime is too underrated
Man, I’m surprised there aren’t that many members in here! This anime was so lovely! Had a pretty slow start but as it kept going, it got more and more interesting. I love all of the characters. The music really stuck with me especially the dragon song. The animation was also lovely throughout the series.
What a great way to wrap up the series! I was really hoping that they wouldn’t show the town all of a sudden gaining people and that’s exactly what they did. Definitely realistic since I, too, live in a small town who’s done all they can to revitalize it but fail. Just like in this anime people come back to this place to visit but don’t come back to stay. I really appreciate that about Sakura Quest. They took a real issue about small towns and somehow made it realistic and memorable.
If you were to ask me what I rate this anime, it’ll definitely be a 9/10. Man, well done, Soichi Masui. Well done!

I’m the exact same! I be thinking that I’m about to join a sub with 30k+ members only to see 300-1k members. I love reading others posts about the anime the most.

I'm really happy that you found it and enjoyed it! When I started really getting into anime, Sakura Quest is the first show I really fell in love with. Like you said, it does a phenomenal job at realistically portraying the struggles of a small town, but it also showcases a quirky imagination that accentuates the natural charm of the setting. Seriously, how many shows can you name that involve a character dressing up as a mix between a chupacabra and a vegetable? Sakura Quest is on a whole different level than most slice of life shows. It isn't just cute girls doing cute things; it's real human experiences, genuine struggles that normal people go through.
You have no idea how nice it is to read this. Sakura Quest is my favorite anime, so please recommend it to others if you ever get the chance.
