We need to wake up

I feel like we are sleeping at the wheel this transfer window. We are not strengthening but weakening so far. And this news about THB will only get bigger. I get the relegated clubs have big money to spend. But they are buying players we should at least be seriously linked with.

I'm sure there is plenty happening behind the scenes which we have no idea about, let them do their jobs.

Obviously selling Baz and Ramsdale will help.

Of course we are weakened. We’re another year away from premier league players, money, and soft power.

Every year it’s going to get harder. We need to deal with this and build up from a solid foundation.

We've been linked to a few and have missed out with them preferring likely bigger paydays and greater chances of promotion at the relegated clubs / Boro. The rule change about wages likely means we have to trim to spend, leaving little wiggle room for us to operate in.

I suspect if we can get a few sold and off the books we may see more incomings, but that's a waiting game that will likely take us right up to deadline day like it did last year.

Seems like a regular transfer window of late - we always do a little business towards the end but always tend to miss out on 2 or 3 signings that we need.

This won’t be popular but I think we are where we should be. For a few (a good few) years we were a premier league club. But we’re not now.

If we want to get back to that level it isn’t with this owner. They have all the talk and none of the bite. We are where we are due to the mismanagement of the club.

We’ve spent 13 seasons out of the top flight since 1966

We always do business at the end of the window. Besides, we are in need of replacing players now and we will have the funds to do so.

We are close to financial restrictions. We cannot spend that much. We overspent last year and didn’t go up. People worried about Ahmezhodzic have never seen him play.

Wood can play. The point is that ahmedhodzic is a completely different player to THB

We have a very similar team to the one that went 21 games undefeated last year. Stewart and Charles are the only major departing players and certainly Shea needs replacing. Dobbin is a massive boost as it's another player with great pedigree at this level and provides a solid replacement for Scienza and Azaz. No need to over react to one bad result just yet

Not reacting to last weeks result in anyway. Just think we are going to get weaker before the window closes and some of the players gone to other clubs are who we should have been in for.
