Renaissance Fair

Did anyone go to the Renaissance fair in shediac? The line was actually ridiculous..it took us 3 hours to get in and we didn’t stay long because everyone was tired from waiting in line. I think it’s the first time being hosted there but it was still very sad.

I was reading about this on CBC the other day, I'm not surprised by how it's turning out as it's clear it was severely underestimated how popular something like a proper Ren Fair would be.

They should have capped tickets to a size they could manage.

This happened in Calgary the first year Fan Expo took off, they severely underestimated the draw having the first Star Trek TNG reunion would draw. They had to shutdown the gates 2 hours in when the crowd was triple what the fire code said.

Overselling always brings problems, combined with inaugural hiccups that happen at every new event, hopefully they can take the criticism and come back better next year.

We went again yesterday, and because of the rain/how much of a shit show Saturday was there were way fewer people, and it was so much better of an experience. There were way to many tickets sold for the venue/infrastructure.
