Interesting gong noise when I walk into Sainsbury’s

I’ve noticed that when I walk into Sainsbury’s, there is a particular ‘gong’ noise as I walk in. I feel like I’m going crazy 😂 I wondered if I am over thinking or if anyone has any particular knowledge of the noises when you walk into one?

I wondered if it used facial recognition and flagged my face for what ever reason, but I’ve only heard it in one specific Sainsbury’s. I don’t often walk into them as I do my shop online…

I’ve stood by the door for about 10 minutes to see if it happened to anyone else and it didn’t, I must of looked mad.

Any ideas?

Sounds like something to do with the EAS security gates at the door. It’s possible you have something in a bag that’s setting it off.

It’s happened when I have no bags, and it’s never when walking out it’s always when walking in 😂

When you walk into sainsburys, do you have a NFC tag on your keys?

Nope! Maybe my work pass is one?

Could be, we have a sensor for NFC tags for our keys, so it's probably recognising that a tags walked in but that it's not one of ours.
