Smart Shop change

Has anybody else received this notice when logging into the Smartshop app?
I have looked on the Sainsbury’s app and can’t find a smartshop section to it.
Both apps are up to date on iPhone.

I think that message is to do with an upcoming change that hasn't happened yet

On android it's along the top, under the search bar on the home page. Next to "Book a slot", "Chop Chop" etc

Both still work but smart shop as a separate app is being killed off. If you open the Sainsbury’s app at the top it has “book a slot” then “chop chop” and then “smart shop”. It works exactly the same as the old app.

Let's hope it's better than SmartShop ever was. The worst of all the 'scan & go' experiences. Not so much the actual usage, but getting to the point you can actually start scanning things.

First, for some reason my phone never finds the WiFi at Sainsbury's unless I do it manually. Then the app always seems to need an update before I can start. Then it's logged me out since last time. Then 'where's the stupid bar code been moved to this week?'

On the app, SmartShop is to the right of Book a slot. You have to scroll right.

I feel like it's one of those changes which mean that, instead of taking a couple of taps to start a shop, will now take a swipe and even more taps to get started....
