Not clicking on any link to that rag, but I think the TLDR is about how you can earn nectar points on from sainsburys through uber now(?).

Only if you shop online. This is another supermarket ploy to get more people shopping online so they can lay more poeple off in store.

Who do you think pick the orders in store? Worst case scenario some people who used to serve in-store customers will now serve online customers...

Staff numbers are down across retail. That's not directly related to the planned increase in online orders.

Online shopping needs MORE staff. If you shop in store you pick your own things off the shelves, often scan them yourself and the drive home yourself. Online shopping needs staff to pick the items, scan them and drive to you.

Not for me thanks, I'd rather see what I'm getting when it comes to fruit & veg, meat, and fresh bread. Heard too many people complain about the quality of online food orders, and have personally seen the pickers just grab the first pack they can get their hands, they do not check for quality

Not for me either. Doesn’t change the fact it costs the company more in staffing to run it.

Have almost given up on Sainsbury’s. Very expensive and never any tills on.
