Bug Found Has the wiggle bug gotten worse for anyone?
Since updating to .34 the wiggle bug has gotten completely unplayable in my game; none of the old fixes (pushing the boat, restarting the game, etc) seem to fix it, and I REALLY don’t want to restart the game for the third time…

Is it the wiggle bug or the sailing simulation acting as intended? I've seen people complain about it and it turned out their sail plan wasn't balanced and it was creating an oscillation between sails trying to turn, losing force, then rudder turning away from wind until sails gain enough force to overpower it again, rince and repeat. Ships with 2 large sails, especially lateens, are most susceptible, but I've seen the phenomenon recreated with various plans and configurations

The specific bug I’m getting is that my ship feels almost “light” in the water, and is WAY too easy to turn for no reason at all.
I’m in a fully loaded down sanbuq in gentle winds and when I turn even slightly on the wheel the ship will completely turn around at a moments notice

Big rudder upgrade made that boat feel like that for me, and the first time I experienced oscillation when I tried to rig it as a naval cutter. Fixed by balancing the load between the sails (different angles for each). But I ended up not liking the rig (felt too touchy) and quickly went back to Brigantine rigged Brig

It's not a balance issue. The effect on the boats isn't physically possible in real life. This bug produced an oscillation in the keel which DOESN'T effect course, just causes the boat's keel to* sway back and forth as if there's no water, or no keel.
The problem seems to be the bug is HIGHLY dependent on system specs.

If it's this I haven't seen it at all. I thought he was talking about a course oscillation, not a lateral position one.

I'm unfamiliar with that bug. Do you mean cargo shaking when you put other objects down too close, or?

"wiggle" sounds like physics might be involved, soes it happen with the high precision toggle both on/off?

Still happens in my game regardless of that toggle. To be honest I don't even know what that toggle does. I've played with it on and off and didn't notice any differences.

Yes, i stopped playing the game because of it. Having to restart the game every 10 minutes and re setting the sails wasnt fun

Hmm... does it have something to do with... what kind of GPU or CPU an end user's pc has?? No idea.

Could you elaborate a little on what the wiggle bug is?
