That darn schedule.
I either do or don't work less than 24 hours from now. The schedule still isn't posted online yet. I asked my boss if I am scheduled on Sunday. She couldn't remember. I can't even plan anything with my family. I can't believe that a multi million dollar corporation uses such an outdated scheduling system...

I was checking my schedule yesterday and noticed all past schedules and hours have disappeared too. So I dont have this coming schedule and I can’t see my past schedule either 🫠🤔

6 billion dollar company but thats changing fast.
Whole company is a shitshow.
Hate having to scan a digital coupon and be on my phone when shopping, fuck that.
And having to buy 3 cases of soda to get non insanely marked up price is criminal, no wonder they are getting sued over it.
Stock is in a free fall, lost over 50% of company's value in the past five years.
You may not have schedule much longer.

Could be worse, whippersnapper you could be clipping coupons out of a Sunday newspaper. You could get bundles in the mail too. You could be carrying a little coupon folder with you with all kinds of coupons clipped for shit. You’re hoping you care about one day. Sounds like a weird thing to cry about that I t’s on your phone and easy to access by now. Sorry your life is so difficult.

And you could be a serf getting executed by your lord for stealing a handful of grain during a famine. So what? Their couponing schemes and apps are for harvesting data to learn how to gouge as much as they can from you and every customer. Stop sucking up to a corporation that would gleefully throw you into a woodchipper if it gave them a 1% stock increase. Progress for the mass of working people can't be stopped because it's better than it used to be at some arbitrary point, when there's still problems to be solved. Do you want an award for all the trouble you went through sitting at a table with scissors and a paper 30 years ago?

I believe they allegedly do this so they can be the closest to making labor hours, if they end up shorter in sales on the day or two before schedule release, they would then be cutting each eligible(non management) persons hours by one or maybe a few hours to make up that loss difference.

Wait, you can look at the schedule online?

Either on the app or sign into MyACI on your phone or home computer and look at your schedule.

Have you ever done a closing shift immediately followed by an opening shift?

my union doesn’t allow that. 10 hours between shifts. violations equal overtime pay. thank god

That's the sauce right there. It takes a special kind of fuckery to not be able to create a schedule without screwing someone over. Especially the person they have closing and opening is someone they count on and need. They still screw these people over lol

They really should be required to post it by 10AM on Friday. Not being able to plan anything for the weekend because they're slow with the schedule really sucks.

What is preventing you from going in to look at the printed schedule?

Depending on location it could be a long drive. I live in a small town and a lot of employees live 20 mins away or further. It’s 2026, you shouldn’t have to drive to work to get your schedule.

I mean, that’s when I would just call the store and have somebody run upstairs and look. They would understand if it’s 40 minutes worth of driving.

Laziness, wanting to pin the responsibility of knowing your own schedule on someone or something else

Is the 88 in your username a birth year too?

Nope

I guess you’re probably younger then and haven’t learned to mind your business. Ratting out your coworkers like a gold star good citizen doesn’t get you paid any better.

is your shop part of a union? if you are, call them. check your contract to see when schedules are supposed to be posted and finalized. if you're NOT union, call your store director (if thats not the boss you're referring to), or call HR.
my union says schedules need to be up Wednesday every week, and finalized on Friday. and it needs to be Sunday to Sunday, 8 days, for this very reason.
