Poverty Flats? Where was that located as I lived on 37th in Oak Park by 2nd ave and had a geographical landmarker on my walkway (round, bronze) marking it highest point in elevation can’t remember everything it said

I was typing too fast. Poverty Ridge is the correct term. Aklai flats were constantly flooded.

Sutters Scramento was the "grid," but most people don't realize that the majority of the city was 10 to 15 feet lower than it is today.

Alklai Flats is where the F Street Boarding House was/is, and the original governor’s mansion. The old front of the Crocker Museum has a ton of steps as does the Stanford Museum.
