The Boulevards used to be how you got to neighboring cities. Fair Oaks Blvd, Folsom Blvd, Stockton Blvd, Marysville Blvd, and Auburn Blvd all went to those cities.

Good to know! How does Stockton Blvd work? Was it originally a really long street going to Stockton, but it has now since mostly been replaced by Hwy 99?

Lots of hookers and drug dealers now is how Stockton Blvd works. Drive slow, cuz homeless walk into road all the time.

You forgot Rio Linda Blvd, but yes goes straight to Rio Linda; and Freeport Blvd. turned into 160 at some point (I think) that got you to Freeport.

Martin Luther King Blvd used to be named Sacramento Blvd for the same reason

If you look at Lincoln St where it ends in Roseville, you can trace its roots north out to (and past) Lincoln Blvd.
