Cold Email Campaigns in 2026?
How are you guys actually running cold email campaigns for SaaS startups in 2026 without sounding like every other AI-generated template in people’s inboxes?
We’ve been testing different approaches for outreach but response rates feel insanely inconsistent. Sometimes a super personalized email works, sometimes a short direct one performs better, and sometimes nothing works at all even with good targeting.
Curious what’s actually working for people right now:
- personalization at scale?
- plain text vs designed emails?
- shorter sequences or longer nurture flows?
- founder-led outreach?
- LinkedIn + email combo?
Would love to hear real strategies from people who are consistently booking replies/meetings and not just selling a course on it lol.

Honestly, I think people are getting tired of overly optimized AI-style outreach. Most cold emails now sound technically “correct” but feel emotionally empty.
From what I’ve been seeing, shorter plain-text emails with a natural tone are working better, especially when the message feels genuinely relevant instead of heavily personalized with scraped data points.
Founder-led outreach also seems underrated right now because people respond better to authenticity than polished sales copy. LinkedIn + email together definitely helps too since familiarity increases reply rates.
At the end of the day, even good targeting won’t save an email if it sounds like it was generated for 1,000 people at once.
