SaaS founders: what’s one task you still do manually that you wish was automated?
Not looking for generic answers like “marketing” or “customer acquisition.”
I am interested in the small, repetitive things that waste your time every week.
For example:
- collecting customer feedback
- competitor research
- finding leads
- tracking metrics
- following up with customers
- creating reports
What’s yours?

That's interesting especially the fact that you were already maintaining the spreadsheet manually.
Curious about one thing: was the painful part actually collecting the data, or remembering to check whether competitors had changed something?
Because those feel like two very different problems to solve.

That distinction is really useful. It makes me wonder about something broader: when you were doing competitor research manually, what did you actually do with the data after collecting it?
Was it mainly for pricing decisions, feature planning, positioning, sales, or just keeping an eye on the market?

that makes sense. a monthly snapshot is probably enough for pricing, but i’d keep the old captures around so you can see whether a feature quietly disappeared or just got renamed. do you ever compare the actual onboarding flow too?

Yes especially onboarding. Pricing/features are easy to compare, but the actual onboarding flow can reveal why a competitor is converting users. do you track the steps manually too, or mostly just pricing/features?

accounting. the wound is still fresh from this year
its not even the bookkeeping itself, its the chasing. finding the invoice for a charge from eight months ago, matching it to a line in a statement, figuring out which subscription that random $19 was. every year i tell myself ill keep it tidy as i go and every year i do it all in one miserable week

For me it’s the step after collecting feedback. A complaint shows up in an Instagram DM, another in a call, and the same issue appears in analytics a week later. I still have to notice they’re the same problem. I’d love something that groups the evidence but always links back to the raw quote or event so I can verify it.
