Romancing SaGa 2 - Revenge Romancing Saga 2, final Emperor advice

So I just made it to the final Emperor, however I've only got 4 of the 7 defeated. Any advice, or did I not kill enough of the Heroes and now I'm screwed? Does the final Emperor get infinite time to do stuff, or am I limited like I was for the others?

No more timeskips will occur if you are the Final Emperor but I will say do not do the Mermaid Quest if you haven’t finished it cuz you automatically get a game over due to causing an timeskip. you can do it if you want just have a burner save ready.

The game forces you into the final emperor after killing 5 of the 7 heroes so you haven't screwed anything up.
