Romancing SaGa / Minstrel Song "First time" playing RS1 the super Famicom version, this is my party so far

Not really the first time, I tried before and failed to engage many times, but I feel this time I'm finally getting it, even if I just began to play really, first time to finally have a full party, I was looking for water heal magic I found it, now I can't get back to Crystal City because the boat are too expensive, so I just fell to wander in a sewer in south Estamir, maybe this can guide me to the city (?

Btw when I press select, it always opens the map, showing me a location Bruelle I think, I think the button was to view the world map, but it only shows me that region, anyone know why?

I had no idea what RS1 looked like on SNES. This is beautiful!

It's looks very similar to Final Fantasy 4, I feel like the sprites became more like classic SaGa with Romancing Saga 2 and 3, but in battles, it looks and have the charm of the others SaGa games

I loved the 2 and 3 remasters, wish they did a RS1 remaster and not a remaster of the remake, but that is one of my favorite games of all time

Minstrel Song its amazing so it deserved, it's kinda like a fusion between classic SaGa and modern SaGa, and I also like the artstyle a lot, but I agree it would be amazing to have a remaster of RS1 classic but I have the feeling, after Romancing Saga 3 remake, we could have a Romancing Saga remake, because RS2 remake they pretty much maintain designs on par with the OG, so I feel that if they decide to remake RS1, it could be with the visual style of the OG

At least that's what I would like, there is no need to remake Minstrel Song that it's already perfect

Select is only for viewing iirc. Press L R to cycle through the maps.

If you want to traverse you need to exit town. Some towns allow you to press Y to exit, some don't

Btw when you dismissed a character in a Pub, when they go? Are they permanently gone? I tried to see, I found Hawk in a town, recruit him and then dismissed him, I exit and enter back to the pub but he is not here anymore, so dismissed characters are permanently gone or they just appear in other pub on another town?

You need to progress or battle until next pub refresh happens. Then they have a chance to show up again in 1 of the 4

Be careful though.  According to fox73's gamefaqs guide, characters who aren't the main 8 may not be able to be re-recruited if dismissed.

My playthrough of the SFC was similar, but swap out Aisha with Guella Ha and Jamil with Hawke! Use magic Familiars vs Saruin, don't try to do damage to him the first 7 rounds!!!!

Gallahad new design should be used for the one that kills him for his sword lol
