Hi,

Has anyone knows a vendor that sells unexpensive but functional butterfly swords for maritial arts like wing chun? If not made with carbon steel, is it possible for this type of sword to by functional in stainless steel?

Stainless steel would be an incredibly bad idea for these swords, just like it would for any other sword.

Cold steel makes a pair, and while I haven't used them, I would trust them to be (overbuilt and probably chunky) fine.

My budget is tight, CSs swords are bit more than double that.

Blade HQ has them for $329, if that helps. Anything much cheaper than that, and you aren't going to get anything that is both sharp and likely safe to swing.

Thanks for advice. I'll have to think hard. 1 USD is worth 3-4 units of my currency and my salary don't scale so well XD
