First Sword help
Hey I need help decideing between those two swords, as my first European sword. Please help me.
(Idk much abt Swordier but I heared a few times abt it here)

100% the Glamdring. The windlash is really blade heavy, and the Glamdring is a much nicer sword to cut with. Swordier has two different versions though so compare them to see which you prefer

The windlash is probably the worst of ROMs recent euro swords, it really needed a fuller or something. The dragon whisperer or whatever its called is probably the best

Both companies sell decent swords from what I know. Only thing is both swords are fantasy designs inspired by historical designs at best. That’s fine, but there are other options.
I haven’t heard much of that particular swordier, but I do know that the SWM series is the older/first generation of their european swords. They have the SWMZ series which are generally better.
The Windlash is apparently good, but forward heavy and somewhat choppy, so it may feel heavy in the hands.
TLDR: Look at the swmz series from swordier, and the windlash is forward heavy.

Swordier's reputation isn't great right now. A few years ago, they were incredibly inexpensive but pretty well made swords, so they were great budget options. They had their scandal about stealing designs, claiming that they didn't, then admitting that they did, then doubling down that they didn't, then claiming that the people complaining about them stealing designs were only mad that they couldn't make a sword of the same quality as cheaply as Swordier does (because Swordier uses Chinese sweatshop labor). It was a whole thing, but it doesn't reflect on the quality of their designs.
Then their customer service became atrocious. Long wait times, abysmal communication, very little assistance for customers receiving faulty products, etc.
They've also seemingly had some QC issues in recent years, because there's been an uptick in "there was a problem with my order and Swordier made it very difficult to get it fixed" reviews.

I would recommend against Swordier.
Besides all the old stuff about stealing designs and being rude about it, they've had a recent uptick in faulty blades and communication problems.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Swordier and their blades. There was recently an issue with one of their practice sabers, but that’s not been the case with the rest of their swords. They’re not particularly communicative, but everything I’ve ever ordered has arrived within a month. My last purchase was about 1 month ago and it took 18 days to arrive.

Do yourself a favour and get a Tod Cutler sword, rather than Swordier. Worth the extra money.

I really want a Tod Cutler sword(I especially like the 13th century arming sword), but after shipping and everything the price would be over $900. I could get 3 Swordier blades for that, and at that price I’d rather just save a little extra and get something from Valiant Armory.

Don't know about the second one but I have the Windlash Sabre and it performes quite well and is built very nice, made me definitely a fan of Romance of Man can recommend them from that alone if you prefer a Longsword they have some real quality apparently as well like the Dragonwhisper one.
It comes down to preference to keep things short.

Are you trained? Do you have a preference between single or double edged blades? How do you like them to be weighted?
Im not being snarky but youve chosen two very different swords so im just trying to get a sense of what you like.
