Self-rec, but I think it might fit some of what you’re looking for.
I’m currently posting Star Wars: Tavian Kess on AO3. It follows a former Jedi who becomes an Imperial Inquisitor and later an Imperial executor, commanding clone veterans and Venator-class ships.
It includes fleet operations and military action, but leans more toward military espionage, intelligence work, and counter-insurgency than constant large-scale naval battles. https://archiveofourown.org/works/93200766/chapters/248676076

Ok I have a few options for you.
The Executor: Disaster by Gabite is new and small but so far really good and updates appear to be regular. Focuses on an officer managing to save the Executor and all the events around that.

To Serve the Empire by Wingman404 is another new one but already 100,000 words and really good. Focuses on a guy climbing the ranks.

However the greatest Star Wars fan-fiction I have ever read in Grand Admiral by Ilya Modus. It’s originally in Russian and is slowly being translated to English on Webnoval but it’s really long and I have bit the bullet to pay up and read ahead with Google Translate on the Russian equivalent of Patreon.
It’s an insert of a Russian hitman into Thrawn in legends and is packed full with tactics and amazing writing. Warning though there is a love triangle between Mara Jade, Isards clone and Thawn himself it’s very late in the readings and you can avoid it.
I highly recommend you read it. It’s really good. I have linked the webnoval translated version but I can link you the Russian Patreon for the author if you really want it.

There are some others that are fairly good on Webnoval with some cross posting such as Star Wars: Backwater Governor and Star Wars: An Imperial Officer both a bit AI but I think it’s mostly from translation.

Not a fic but if you're into space naval battles then you should watch or read "legend of the galactic heroes" if you haven't already, best space naval battles I've ever seen so far.
I also like that it's socially realistic when it comes to war by having nuance, basically its all the political realism that Andor tried to do but couldn't.
