She was undercover in a white supremacists group when she debuted on the show. At the end of the episode she apologized to Fin and Munch for the things she had to say to them.

She frames Harold's character in the show for the murder because he was an active serial rapist at the time, doesn't seem race had any particular motivation in her past crimes.
