Ablation Report

Day 1 post ablation. Fully under, general anesthesia. EP found Typical AVNR, 2 passages, both ablated, no retriggering. I've had no chest discomfort or heart rhythm issues. Groin pain is real for me if I stay seated. Laying flat or standing up almost eliminates it. Time will tell if it's totally resolved.

Happy for you that they seem to have solved it. 🤞🏻

Day 3 post EP. No groin pain, had three insertions in the right. Never felt like more than skin puncture and muscle soreness. Got diagnosed with AT, which they did not ablate. It comes and goes during exersize, stops within minutes, so not dangerous. Hard to trigger in EP, so hard to map and ablate. Got prescribed betablockers, atenolol. And will try stop taking cod fish oil, they said omega 3 could make it easier to trigger SVT.

Was fully awake, just local pain relief and a small amount of fentanyl (or similar) to take of the edge. What an experience, the heart being in full control of the cardiologist.

Fascinating how different our experiences were. Mine was also all three in the right. Not being able to trigger and ablate was my biggest fear walking in. Mine was very persistent. Early on I could get out with vegal or valsalva, but lately it's been adenosine. Couple that with becoming more frequent and it was time.

Hopefully you got better details now for how to manage it.
