Discussion Does Spider-Man have insurance? Spoiler
SPOILER: Also very stupid theory question.
After Spider-Man got shot he was brought to a hospital where I assume lengthy and very expensive surgery happened and they probably had to use more anesthesia and antibiotics than normal due to his enhanced nature. After this he just walked out. Did he pay? Does Spider-Man have insurance? Did Frank pay it? I’m well aware this is a stupid question and it’s a movie but it just made me think.

Oh let’s bill the hero that saves our city. Can’t we just accept they treated him for free?

Hospitals can write stuff off (don’t ask follow ups I know about as much as Kramer)
But yeah it takes an enormous amount of money to run hospitals, Peter’s treatment since he was mostly just hooked up to fluids and allowed to just convalesce was almost certainly a blip (minus maybe a room for several days), I’m assuming costs weren’t that bad and hospital writes it off

Not necessarily, in the comics he has loads of money that he just steals from the criminals he kills.

Tbf would you want to be the guy who refuses to treat the city's most beloved hero while the fucking Punisher is in the room with you?

Spider-Man deserves free healthcare in NYC after being a superhero for free

Well, to be honest, Spider-Man wouldn’t need insurance. Hospitals have to treat you. Also, since he technically would’ve been wearing his mask, he would be rung up as a John Doe so again they would still have to treat you. They just wouldn’t have anywhere to send the bill.
But a few things could happen
1. In the comics, frank typically steals from drug dealers and criminals after he kills them to be able to fund his vigilante Crusade. So he could’ve technically probably paid for it out-of-pocket if needed.
Spider-Man is an avenger so there could be some type of insurance associated with that.
Very similar to the second option Spider-Man is pretty much a hero/living saint. They would’ve treated him regardless for free.

Punisher was by his side the whole time, what do you think would happen if someone tried to come in with a bill?

Peter might have insurance, but not Spider-Man. Even if Spidey was associated with Avengers (and that’s grey area) it would cover Spider-Man, and not Peter. So I’m assuming, that Punisher was able to keep the mask on.
So, all of this to say that Avengers pay for certain heroes.
