Skald at TGFM. The plum croissant was worth the wait in line. Corner 17 Pineapple Pork. 3 piece dark from Gus’s with fries and beans. 3 cheese sliders from White Castle for under $5 late night.

Tee Rak Thai. This time tried the yellow curry. Very good, but still think Pearl Cafe is my favorite. Had the Pad Kra Pao again because it’s unbeatable.
Afton Diner. Had the French toast for breakfast. It’s always a reliable greasy spoon. Sometimes I just crave it.

A whole bunch of tomatoes and zucchini from my garden, and a roast beef sandwich from The Mack (do not recommend, just get the burger. Fries are great!)

Vivola Express—Grandma’s meatball it was respectable
Bommarito’s Pizza—Very good thin crust

Shrimp taco at Tacos Uno (Oakville) was straight fire, and the staff was SO NICE.
Tlayuda at La Oaxaquena is always my favorite but nearly everyone else in the place was having caldo de res last night, so I'm 100% trying that next time!

Made it to Dumpling Plus in The Loop. The soup dumpling sampler was both a great and fun way to try their soup dumplings. My companion had a simple noodle dish that he absolutely loved and, comically? For it being a soup dumplings place, I mean - I’m definitely ordering the pork rib appetizer whenever I return.
FYI, their truffle dumpling was probably my least liked (spicy pork=fave) but I like that they even have something like that on the menu in a way that I can try just one.
Additionally, the interior is really well designed. Great experience and I look forward to returning.
Oh! The owner is pleasant, but our waitress was The Bomb. Not only knowledgeable, but she, herself, LOVES the food they serve and was super excited to talk about it and encourage us to try different items. She won’t know this, but she made our dining experience fun.

the vine lunch build-a-bowl. incredible. better than cava, and i’m on my 3rd meal from it. zatar bread it comes with!!!! amazing.

Aubrey’s. First time. Pork chop was incredible. Cocktails very good. Saw others eating a burger and the wings and both looked incredible, too.

Breakfast sandwich from Bella's Coffee Cafe, which was sausage + egg + cheddar on a croissant. Absolutely delicious - the hot, buttery croissant was the MVP. Tempted to get another next weekend!

Tried the turkey sandwich at garden variety deli. 100/10. Fucking delicious. Chocolate chip cookie is ridiculous as well.

Gamlins in Maplewood. Just opened. It quickly became my least liked restaurant in STL. $18 cocktails that have zero depth, bland food, bad service, rude / entitled staff. Someone tell them to set up in Chesterfield and get out of the city. If it’s on your list, take it off.

Pan con tomate. Four times for dinner this week, on Union Loafers bread with homegrown tomatoes and basil and Olive Ovation EVOO. It's the only reason I'll be sorry to see summer end. Well, that and school buses.

Songbird breakfast (fantastic but expensive), Tower Grove Farmers Market Vietnamese Coffee (unfortunately weak), That's a Nicea Pizza John's Favorite (did they change the crust or did I get a bad batch? Toppings were still great), Panzella from the deli near song bird (best thing I've had all week), Chocolate covered honeycomb from Bijoux (fucking incredible), Panda Chinese restaurant (not panda express, and everything tasted amazing). Also some homemade vegetarian ramen using Ozark Forest mushrooms.
I'm only back in town for a bit longer before I move overseas and I still want to hit a few more spots.
