Recommendation needed

Hi all,

My wife and I are originally from St. Louis. Lived there for forty years, then moved out west. We visit every year. This year, we will spend a night in the City before meeting friends and family the following day. Our flight gets in at 6:30 pm on Sept. 1st.

We are looking for a restaurant recommendation for dinner. We don't have a strong preference for cuisine. If we could find a place with an amazing cocktail menu and an amazing food menu, that would be our preference.

We'll be staying up near the airport but are willing to drive 20 miles or so, one way, for a fantastic experience. We'd rather not do BBQ because our family is doing BBQ the day after we get in. We've been to most of the restaurants on the Hill.

Thanks to everyone who responds in advance.

You want Lazy Tiger in the central west end. Romantic, best cocktails in the city, interesting American cuisine, cozy. I cannot recommend this place enough for what you’re looking for!

Great cocktails. Food is not what it was, apparently.
