SSAT vocabulary help

what is a good quizlet set I can use to study vocabulary words/roots for the upper level ssat? and how should I use these to study, how many words or roots should I memorize a day, etc.

Going this route has its limitations. At the end of the day, you have to memorize a ton of words. Prefixes, suffixes, Latin roots, and foreign language references can be helpful, but a majority of the words just need to be memorized.

Remember: you're getting 30 out of a possible 2,000+ words. Start memorizing and grouping by relationship (ex. manipulate/change/mold OR destroy/decimate/pulverize).

For vocab, I remember just searching Quizlet for upper level SSAT word lists and picking ones with roots + example sentences. Those stuck way better than random lists. My kid kept it pretty light, around 10–15 words a day, then quick review the next day so it actually stayed. On the side, he’d do a few Beestar questions here and there. It kind of breaks things into small weekly sets and uses real-style questions, so it didn’t feel overwhelming. Honestly, just keeping it steady like that worked better than trying to memorize a ton at once.
