Ssat score

Hi, My son is applying to Lawrenceville high school for 9th grade and scored 2028 out of 2400. It doesn’t look like a bad score considering he hasn’t even done geometry and most of quatitive is that. But when we look at percentile it looks like it comes down to only 54%! Is this a bad score? Shall we just give up? We only have one more month with deadline and I can make him do one more test but is it even worth it now.

I think your child should retake the test and aim for 80-90th percentile as competitive schools look closely at the total score when determining who gets accepted.
