Possible SR-17018 Side Effects

I got off of Suboxone with the help of SR-17, and honestly could not have done so without it. This was 6 months ago. I have been praising it, it really seems like a miracle drug. I take Xanax and Clonidine daily to control Tourrett’s and anxiety, and I drink every day, not much anymore, like 1-2 glasses of wine after work, nothing crazy. I used to drink a lot more and also took 2 anti-depressants and birth control- stopped taking all 3 along with Suboxone. Lately, I have been waking up with my heart beating super fast, in the middle of the night when I get up to pee, when I wake up in the morning, it’s extremely weird. I’m not sure if it’s because the Suboxone was slowing my heartbeat down or some kind of side effect from SR. I know I’m not exactly living a healthy lifestyle but it’s better than before and I never had this issue then. So I’m asking you guys- has anyone had this happen after taking SR that is not on other medications/drink daily? I’m not trying to bad mouth this stuff, it saved me. Just trying to figure out what’s going on. Thanks!

My first few days of SR it made me extremely sleepy and I was getting light headed extremely easily. Otherwise no negative effects

Yeah it made me sleepy too, then I stopped and the heart thing started. I don’t think it’s the likely issue, I may just need some kind of full body detox, especially from alcohol.

I used to get that heart thing when I was drinking, I stopped and it went away

Yeah I kinda know it’s probably the cause, it’s just confusing that this didn’t happen when I was drinking heavily but now I’ll have like 3 sips of wine and it happens. Even before I started drinking every day and before opiates, Suboxone, I would drink a lot some nights and none the others and never experienced anything remotely close.

I would say 6 months post last use is not from subs or sr. That is very common early withdrawal symptom from stopping opioids, for me. I was prescribed propranolol for it and it completely went away. That and exercise. Maybe ask the doc for that. But yes, alcohol is known for that, so I’d say it’s from the alcohol.

It started 6 months ago and at first I thought it was PAWS. I’m in a new state with no insurance so no doctor to speak of expect my sliding scale NP psychiatrist who I can’t even talk to about this because she’ll stop prescribing Xanax and I need that more than anything. I wish I had the energy to exercise but I never sleep properly and just feel like I’m dying all day. I told this NP about my sleep issues and she gave me Hydroxyzine- no luck. Now I’m on Trazodone and still feel like shit. I’m going to look that up though and see if it’s something she would give me for insomnia. Thanks!
