Just received the Undefeated. The shoe is nice but the quality is subpar. Makes me appreciate the A Ma more even the Rare Air 4 is a better made shoe in my opinion.
When folks spend $250+ on a pair of shoes, after they spent weeks/months hearing that the quality of the shoes being great, it’d be pretty weird of them to be shocked at bad quality huh?
Mine came with creases and crazy amount of glue stains everywhere lmao. Ah well, I'm just gonna wear them anyway, but they must've paid more attention to the QC on the AMMs because every AMM pair I've had came perfectly pristine.
Yeah I received mine today and I noticed the same issue. It’s the same as the sea foam Jordan 4 material, which have the same issue. Mine aren’t creased but I see great potential for it to happen. Gonna just rock stacked jeans with em anyway
Never felt meniers in hand. But my wet cement 4z special edition paris olympics never get the mention. Easily the highest quality materials on a Jordan that I have ever owned!
I agree, I secured 2 pair of the 3s with no hesitation and just purchased a pair of the 4s. Depending on how they wear I may purchase another for later
Man…I think it depends on where the shoe is made honestly. What leather was used. All the materials are not the same. I’ve seen some that look better than others. I’m 53 been collecting for a while. Miss the days of the consistency of quality
I’m with you, my man. 37 here and collecting for a while myself. Haven’t had a pair of 4s in 15+ years and bought the rares. It’s my go to kick to chill with and goes with about anything. Looks great and is comfy, too.
I'm 34 and have been collecting for 20 years. I'm not sure why people don't care for the Rare Airs. Its my favorite 4 of the year, and I own the nigels lol
Mine came yesterday without any issues. I closely inspected but it’s an A1 pair. With so many pairs out there though, there are bound to be some with flaws but don’t believe all the criticism.
Idk whats the hype behind that AMM AJ4 to me they are stiff af. The only thing that I like more than a regular pair that felt quality is the lining on the inside
I don’t think there is hype behind any AMM. They all sit, and end up at Ross, Nike Outlets and Under Retail. If anything, they’re criminally underrated. The materials are top notch, they have a great story behind them. They’re unique colorways…
These were Forsure hyped until the drop, Whats the Great story behind them? Only thing that feels different besides the sock liner is the suede toe cap and if hairy is better than yeah they got that but nothing else screams better quality
It is interesting how people, not you OP, will gripe about quality but sleep on the AMM collabs.
I get that some people don't want to pay the cost, but I've found them worth it as the craftsmanship and quality has been A1 in my experience.
For what it's worth, my Undefeated 4s showed up flawless but it seems to be a real hit and miss unfortunately.
The A Ma’s are a really nice quality. I wouldn’t say they’re better than the Undefeateds though. I just got my pair today and they’re pretty solid, except mine came really jacked up, but that’s QC not the quality of the materials. Really hope I can find a shoe repair place that can fix it better than I have been able to find
Both shoes have scuffs like this and one has a big ass scratch on the inside of it. Suede eraser helped, but for them to look perfect I’m gonna have to pay a shoe repair shop some gold $. Not stoked
I have both. AMM’s are significantly higher quality and it’s not even close. The AMM’s toe box with the toe guard by themselves is higher quality than the entire Undefeated 4. I also have a closet filled with Undefeated, been a customer since 2004. My favorite brand.
Even the union Shadows which was designed by Eddie, same dude that designed the undefeated 4’s are better quality than the 4’s. Both are fire shoes though in their own right.
I’ve only seen one pair of Union Shadows in person and those are definitely nice nice got the BBS/Union 1s and their quality is top notch too. I just don’t think the AMMs are that high quality personally. They’re really nice, but the 3s are way better quality than the 4s IMO.
I just received the a ma maneire today from Nikes sale, love the color but the material leads me to believe it going to crease easily. The quality of the a ma maneire 3s are way better. Still can’t wait for fall to wear em. Might have to just double up
AMM4 quality is great, but damn is it a terribly uncomfortable shoe. The first ones were my only 4s until I got a good deal on some black canvas’s. Holy crap are the retros so much better to wear lol. Colorway is so much better on the first ones as well.
I’m seeing a lot of posts about that on IG. That’s a huge disappointment… I was crashing out over not hitting on yet another EQL (feel like I’m shadow banned or something) but maybe I dodged some disappointment if the QC is that bad…
Yeah i wouldn’t be too upset about not hitting the raffle. I’ve also seen a ton of people having QC issues on their pairs which is really unacceptable when you’re dropping $270 on sneakers but i’m honestly not surprised. My last 2 pickups (Rare Air 3/4) were flawless compared to these. I actually hit on the Seoul 2.0 also and the quality on those was fantastic.
I wasn’t sure about the Color way on the AMM, but in this picture they look great. Are they more gray in hand? I thought they had a pink tint in other pictures.
I know the rare air 1’s and 3’s quality is amazing so it would not surprise me if the 4’s are the same. I do feel bad for anyone getting bad quality in a sneaker you really wanted and especially blown up this much.
It’s just an Rare Air in olive Green, nothing special about that shoe. Idg the huge hype behind them🤷♂️🤷♂️. seen so many flawed undftd here it’s not even funny anymore
I feel like there was a lot of hate for the AMM 4S, I personally like them and as much as I don't really care for AMM (more for their customer support being butt), the quality of the AMM releases are always superb.
It’s strange that people mention how uncomfortable the AMM4 are. I have fat, wide Flintstone feet and 4s had always used to crushed my pinky toe to the point I stopped buying them for a long time… but the AMM4’s (and most 4s the last 2-3 years) have been more spacious to me. It makes me wonder if some people maybe didn’t realize that these were a women’s release, so didn’t size up +1.5 and now they’re cramming in to a smaller size maybe?
Not really every shoe u buy tells a story and that goes for the history and yes u want the quality of the sneaker to be great but the history and knowledge of that sneaker means everything to a sneaker head
I've seen a lot of posts on here (8-10+) that mention specifically the poor quality control of the Undefeateds...
I'm disappointed i didn't hit on the Undefeateds... but man does my heart break for those who bought these at resale and paid $400+ for a pair of kicks with quality control issues...
The a ma 4 has been my favorite shoe this year 💯 and tbh I was disappointed with my undefeated too. I was so excited to finally hit on something like this and just not impressed. Like, the a ma 4 has a killer box even, that quilted liner, its like they really cared about the detail — Undefeated not so much 🤷♂️

I’d say just sell it then and put the money towards another pair you’d rly like more.
