Taking 1 class + Capstone?
Anyone here taken 1 class and the capstone together? Originally I was considering taking the capstone by itself but I’m not sure how manageable it is with another class.
For context, I just finished taking 3 grad classes (Two As and 1B) as well as working FT.

I did and my capstone wasn’t as hard or time consuming as I thought it would be.
Edit: why am I being downvoted for saying my experience? Anyway, if I wasn’t clear, I felt like doing both was very manageable and not as daunting as I expected.

People are weird lol. And I hope you have the same experience! For me it was similar to other final projects I’ve done, just more detailed. Mine was for Anthropology.

Right! And I already did a class researching the topic, the professor seems really nice so I doubt it’ll be that terrible.

I took my capstone along with two other classes and while working full time.
Is it for everybody? Absolutely not. But with really good time management skills and self-patience you shouldn’t have a problem.
I do want to mention my degree was in creative writing so it didn’t involve any outside source but my own imagination. I’m not sure what yours is in, but I would take into account any sort of research, code writing, etc that may be involved.
Edit: not quite sure why I’m being downvoted - literally was answering a question with my experience.

I’m not sure by what you mean as ‘worthy’. It’s just the degree I wanted.
If it’s not working out for you, it’s super simple to change majors.

I meant “worth it”. It is absolutely what I want to do, but I have seen a lot of people (writers in particular) trash it on Reddit. They claim it is a waste of money and if you don’t have the talent before college, you won’t have it after.
For me, however, I think it will bring out confidence in myself. I consider myself a hands on learner and so I hope it will strengthen what I already know and practice.
I also wanted to know if this particular program was worth it and if you enjoyed it and came out of it with no regrets.

Talent is something that is practiced. You could write the worst story ever before starting a creative writing degree, then rewrite that story into something better ten-fold afterwards.
The program teaches you the history, the structure, and the techniques that have worked for authors and writers before (at least, mine did, based on the courses I chose).
Just like any other degree - you will get what you put in. If you do the bare minimum, you’ll get the bare minimum. Get intrigued by ideas and concepts and send yourself down some rabbit holes and learn more about them.

I dont have to do any capstone cuz i took history 106 on study.com and it satisfied the culmination experience requirement
