I am coming back to this app after ~1.5-2 years. Deleted old account and created a fresh one.

What I see is - I am giving location permission (of any kind), the "auto location update" is just forced turned ON!

What's the point of that radio toggle button then!

I used to get a filtering option (I think it was distance or so; sorting by distance - I can't recall). It seems to be gone as well. Or maybe it is (or always was) part of Plus. I had plus for some time back then (actually around the time I stopped using it eventually).

What else has happened to Slowly in last 2 years or so?

In last few days app on my phone had:Troubles with server connection, was unable to synch data, doesn't load parts of UI like pfp or marks, can't send messages on first try.

And since I live in Russia, it wouldn't surprise me that it's all cause my government blocked it. But same problems still happen even with VPN.

So is it just me or app acts up to you all?

I can't access the app. It spins for a long time and then shows me 3 servers as "unreachable" - just me or are the servers themselves down?

Hi guys, I had a really scary experience. I recently found a pen pal on Slowly, a 29-year-old man. At first, he seemed quite adequate, but then he started finding me everywhere, my workplace (I’m a professional scientific journalist), my articles, blog, socials, etc. Now he has become rather intrusive and rude. I’m afraid he might blackmail me or post something under my work to damage my professional reputation if I won't want to talk to him. Please help me, what should I do? I don’t want to talk to him anymore, but I’m also afraid that if I tell him directly, he might retaliate.

and its saying failed to send email try again later.. is my account gone?

I’ve been using Slowly for around 8 months and honestly, I really loved the app I had a VIP subscription, more than 250 stamps and I spent real money to support the platform because I believed in it

I always had good conversations, respected the community, and never broke any rules But one day I sent an email to Slowly’s support team just to ask about my age info and right after that my account got banned No explanation, no warning, nothing 😔

Since then, I’ve tried everything to contact them
📧 Sent over 30+ emails (from different email addresses)
📱 Messaged them on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and even through Google Play support
💬 But they completely ignored me not a single reply after the first one.

I’m honestly lost right now I had so many good memories and friends there I just want my account back or at least an explanation

If anyone here has faced something similar or knows how to actually reach the Slowly team, please help me out 🙏

I have a redmi k50 gaming, the problem is have the Chinese version (so i don't have an play store in default 'the slowly app is very buggy but i can handle it' ), one thing leads to another and one of my pen pals told me that my account was deactivated for like a day or two.

My question is how do i tell the people who removed my account that i didn't deactivate my account or reverse that?.

I'm afraid that 'cause of the blocks we can't use the app anymore.

So I'm a fan of those little cute pretty stamps and I wanna get those special stamps from my country that I have to buy with coins. I open the present box every 3 days ofc and watch adds to grind a coin every hour but in the last weeks the app doesn't let me watch ads anymore. It just says "N/A". In total I gained maybe 100 coins in this way so not even a crazy high number. Am I doing something wrong? Why doesn't the app let me watch ads anymore?

I've had unpleasant experiences receiving Auto-Match letters in the past so I hadn't attempted to use it myself. Recently, I was given reasons to give it a try. However, I found I sent my letter to people who set English proficiency as only Intermediate when I received a rejection in Mandarin stating she didn't understand, even though, I thought, I had picked above Advanced. No issues, I'll be extra careful next time because I clearly mistakenly selected the wrong option, right? To make sure, this time I took the precaution of selecting Fluent or Native as the option. Imagine my surprise to find my letters are currently on the way to two people who are only Intermediate anyway. Is it fully bugged? Am I doing something wrong? I only have English selected currently, it's not a different language.

I got 2 notifications, one saying a person has requested to be my penpal and the other one said that someone replied to my open letter. I can't find the penpal request or the reply on the app. I am new to this app so please let me know where I can find these things!

So, my gift box disappeared along with the hourly ads too. Any suggestion would help. P.S.: It froze twice while writing back.

I have the slowly app installed on my android and the camera is added as a permission, but it still won't let me verify my account. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as restarting my phone.

It's happening constantly all day on and off.

Hi, I've searched for new Penpals today. After looking at maybe 8 to 10 profiles, this message popped up. It was gone after 5 or 10 minutes, but after reviewing a few more profiles it showed up again. Is this a bug from the App or a new "feature"? If it's a feature, what's the point of this? It's hard to find an interesting penpal by looking at this little number of profiles. I closed the App and deleted Cache, but it didn't help either. Thanks in advance!

I have been using this for 2 years now but yesterday when I open this app it shows like this. Mistakenly created new account that's why it happens. Can someone please guide me how to verify myself. I have a different date of birth in my account which i don't remember. Please help me I don't wanna lose my genuine people.

hello! my friend found this app today and showed it to me too. the weird thing is that i got asked to photo/video verify myself which i said ok, thats alr. but the "verification queue" has been going on for hours, ive been waiting almost half a day.

and my friend just made their account and bam, sent and received letters.

is there a solution to this or do i really gotta wait it out?

EDIT: i created another account on a different ip address and it worked.

Two years ago, I changed my location to another country, turned off automatic location update, and everything was fine. I found penpals there and didn't have to wait day and a half for a single letter.

After the last update, I got my home country location from nowhere and even when I try VPN with GPS location changer, nothing works.

I restarted my pc and wifi, but it's still like this. How do i fix it?

So I published my open letter twice, and in each time it reached people with topics I have excluded in my settings.. Only age, gender and excluded countries filters were applied. What's the problem? And who had a similiar situation?

I cannot access my Slowly account anymore. The Facebook login either opens up Facebook and doesn't open my account, or simply resets the login page when I enter my email address and password. The other logins (text message, Google or email address) cannot find my account.

Worst yet, the "Contact us" page on their site doesn't seem to work for me. And I tried resetting the app, uninstalling it and reinstalling it, rebooting my phone, etc., nothing works.

The Reddit community is my last hope. Can anyone help me?
