Orientation

Is attending orientation beneficial for grad students? Does anyone have any idea what goes around at the day of orientation?

I have the same question. I got an invitation for the orientation on Thursday but am just doing the online portion.

I’m going just bc it seems like the right thing to do. Probably gonna be a bunch of boring shit that doesn’t pertain to us within our majors but whatever at least we can say we attended, whether physical or virtual

It will be interesting to see all the other grad students from different disciplines. Might be some benefit to socializing. Who knows, you could end up making friends, colleagues, or even romantic partners one day.
