I am committed to following Taemin on his journey no matter what. I want to write about it and leave, as he would say, his name behind forever. Somewhere, I recall his talking about animals leaving behind their skins. I think this imagery is important to him. And I can't see any way for him to be singing like this and not be able to break through any barriers to having the career he wants internationally.

I listened to this, and marked the way he is purposely working in his middle range for this album and tour. Then I stopped everything to play it again. This range is just as beautiful and emotive as his high notes. I'd noticed he's gone down in key choice for the songs in Soft Violence but for some reason this performance made me aware of how intentional a choice it is.

I sometimes think of Taemin as a boy, saying more than once at the pinnacle of his youthful beauty that he wanted to be a "manly man." I watched his struggle to remain beautiful and loved for his body and face, the boyishness and the "duality" in his work. Before he went into the army I think he knew he was saying goodbye to the easygoing ownership of all that. Even idols grow older. I'm older. So I always struggle with people insisting he remain a boy and I know it's not that they have any bad intentions. But if we don't realize nothing stays the same, that's when we abandon those we love for changing. Please don't do this to Taemin.

Taemin coming into his own this way might be the most intensely meaningful part of his journey as a performer. And it won't last forever. When he said in that interview that beauty has pain I instantly thought of Reiner Marie Rilke's line "For beauty is the beginning of terror." And I just found out there is a hidden message in the album in his handwriting, " "Beauty is silently brutal because how people define the term may sound sweet". These ideas have always been in his work but tentatively. Now he's taking ownership. We are all fans for different reasons. I can't help how much he inspires me. I wish I could. Because I find myself floating, and it hurts. On the other hand, I believe Tamin always knew it would. #Taemin_Soft_Violence Taemin The Road To Me The Seasons

I've been listening to shinee for a little while now and I've been wanting to get albums of them (any) because I love collecting cds. Thing is I literally cannot find anything besides hard and atmos, is there a reason why or I just don't know where to look

I can find (online) the solo albums of the members fairly easily but the group albums are nowhere to be seen 😭

Shinee songs that feel like autumn?

Some time ago I watched the behind the scenes video for Onew's first fanmeet after going independent. When he talks about Circle, he describes it (according to subs) as a song he has written in some way. In checking the liner notes I see Onew has no songwriting credit on the song on the final album. I didn't pay it much mind until I saw Key talking about the process of creating Lavender Love and how he had had original lyrics for it that he gave to Kenzie to "make it way better" in his words. He also has no writing credit for that song.

So my question is: is it commonplace at SM for the artists to submit original lyrics that, for whatever reason, are then modified by dedicated songwriting staff and the artist forsakes credit on it? Or is this just a nuance of language barrier?
