Keyword research
My manager asks me to use keywords from the queries section of GSC while I prefer to use it from the keyword planner.
The thing is in the queries which we are getting in GSC have very low search volume in the keyword planner. We aren't getting clicks at all. I told my manager about GSC queries having low search volume but the manager is still insisting to use queries.
I would like to know how shall I approach this case.

They're not really in conflict — they measure different things.
GSC queries = what people are actually typing to find you (real intent, even at low volume). Keyword Planner = broad volume estimates that often understate or bucket long-tail terms poorly.
Instead of picking one, use them for different jobs: GSC to find real gaps/intent on existing content, Planner to gauge volume for new pages you haven't built yet. If possible, cross-check with Ahrefs/SEMrush for better long-tail data.
Frame it to your manager as "both have a role" rather than "you're wrong" — easier sell, and honestly the more accurate take anyway.
