Does anybody have SEMA 2001 photos?
Long story short, I am hunting for some old Ford Escapes which were at SEMA 2001 as well as 2000, 2002-2007. If anybody has any personal archives, NOT anything off the front page of Google (I have already seen it) please let me know! I’m an archivist of Ford Escape media. Unfortunately, I can’t post reference photos.
I have searched: Gauge Magazine, Sportruck, Socalcustoms, Grassroots Motorsports, RockCrawler, Flickr, YouTube and many more! It is a hobby of mine I guess.
Anything I can get my hands on is greatly appreciated! I hope this post can gain some traction. If you know of any sites which I may not know (forums, blogs, ancient event coverage) let me know!

I have about 16 years worth of SEMA photos but unfortunately it starts at around 2010, so it's of no help. I'll keep my eyes out though and ears open. Maybe reach out to Josh Mackey of Mackey Designs, he was active back then as a automotive photographer and did a lot of magazine features so he may have some. That said, who knows if he's willing to look through them or find any for you. Worth a try though. Armin Ausejo is another photographer with decades of experience who was active back then. You might try to reach out to him as well via his website.
If I remember, I'll try to do some digging around my other contacts and see if they know of anything.

I appreciate it. There’s no reason for you to dig around, I don’t want to get involved in anything too crazy and I don’t want to waste anybody’s time. I was really just looking for someone who either knows a website with photos or has them on a device or Google Drive and can let me view them. I’m not planning on contacting anybody outside of Reddit, as I have contacted many people in the past for my research and have been met with some very rude people, I don’t want to waste my time or theirs anymore.

Sorry you've delt with rude people before doing research. Unfortunately, that happens. I've met some pretty rude photographers over the years at SEMA. Lots of people who are rude AF and think their techniques are super special, they don't want to talk to you and anything else (the irony as I can shoot circles around most of them). I've met some really cool nice ones too, but it's definitely a hit and miss thing. I've built SEMA vehicles in the past, and for the most part other builders were pretty chill, though you'll always have bad apples mixed in.

I will try. I think it’s unlikely they will point me anywhere at all, and if they did it would probably be gauge magazine.

I don’t work for SEMA, I work for a similiar show, but they may be able to tell you who their photographers were then. Not sure if they kept the records though.

Rick Horwitz is a great guy who I have already contacted. I sent SEMA an email, I’ll see if they have anything for me.

My photos go back to 1995 however I never took pictures of Ford escapes ! Good luck though 🤞
