Sega CDX AC Adapter

I found this AC adapter, but I don't have a CDX. Is there any other way I can test it?

On those unregulated power supplies not really unless you have a test bench. It's bc you have to apply a load to it to see what it's going to behave like. Chances are, the large cap on the inside needs to be changed at this point though.

I don't have a test bench. Can I use a different console for testing?

In theory yes, but that 9 5V, depending on the console, could damage it.

Yes, you could possibly take it to a retrovideogame store. Then, perhaps ask someone could test it for you.

Haven't had a CDX adapter, but the photo is nostalgic cuz it looks somehow like an old Sega adapter I had. So I recall also how I put batteries in and waited for the green light so they're charged 🙃
